well, a friend of mine IRL got hacked a few weeks ago, and i know for a fact that he didnt share any info of his account, not even with me. he assurred me all of his info was very random, and it was (told me later wut the ps and email was). but there was 2 problems with this, his IGN was the same as his ID, and he nvr did email verification.
as far as i know, a few weeks ago someone hacked the SRO database (hence why they shut down the new password changing system on Joymax.com). Supposedly all they got was email addresses and secret answers, but some people are saying they got everything about accounts. When the system was put back up on Joymax.com, anyone who didnt do email verification was vulnerable.
needless to say, his new account if very secure, changing ps weekly and storing items on separate random accounts when not logged on
I guess what i am trying to say is, do email verification and if possible do not have ur IGN the same as ur game ID.
Take the above information for what it is, word of mouth, i doubt anyone can prove the legitimacy of this
they took down the password changing because it was easy to abuse
if for example i bought silk for a friend i could easily turn his account to mine without the need of his secret answer, that is why they stopped password changing for a while to add secret answer for everything even when you wanted to use email verification you need secret answer without it you cant turn an account to yours.
The current problem is there is a bug with silkroadonline.net and joymax with everyone who has email verification, all you need is someone id and password and you can change his password even when he uses email verification
Joymax is learning sad enough a lot of victims are made due to joymax and partially players mistakes.
Just never give your account information if you care about losing your stuff.
