At least someone gets it. Botting took a long time to take hold because it was socially unacceptable. As soon as forums like SRF (I mean the members) accepted botting, everyone started doing it because they wouldnt be reprimanded by Joymax or hated by the community. I would estimate at least 30% if not more of the users on SRF bot. The community has just given up and aloowed it to happen. When that happens, its like a disease, ever spreading and not stopping.

I'm not saying to welcome botting players to the forum- i'm saying stop bitching about it when you do find people. If I find out SG botted it wouldn't change my opinion of him. If I find out that Nightbloom is a scammer/botter/hacker/she-man it wouldn't change my opinion of her. Respect- regardless of whether you bot or not from me.

That being said everything you said Bel was BS. Botting didn't take long to grip the community. There were gold bots running around day 1. Reason why, because they knew hey already had ppl who were going to buy gold. Bot programs were developed day 1 because there were ppl willing to bot. The ppl who were buying gold and botting had friends who bought gold and botted. You fail to realize that botters are a community themselves so SRO was already being divided from the Legits and the Un-Legit early on. Just because the Legits didn't accept the Un-Legits doesn't mean that the Un-Legits didn't accept each other.

Botting spread because the original botters would spread and make guilds and encourage their members to bot to keep up. It infected guild after guild like a plague because we all know botter guild don't last long and eventually they broke up and the members had to go somewhere. Don't blame SRF for the spread of botting it would've happened with or without us. In fact SRF probably slowed it down because of how botters were and still are treated here. You guys never let up on SpiritPower did you.

SRF isn't Neutral on the botting issue but this is becoming a pot calling the kettle black situation and its turning ugly. We still don't support botting i would rather not see locked topic after locked topic of bot accusations turned into flame wars (they always end up that way) If if you like seeing a bunch of flame wars theres another forum for that, Tavern....
