I don't think it's pathetic.. I met this girl in a chat room years ago, we met in real life a few months later and lasted 3 years, we broke up but we're still good frieds anyway.

As for me... yes, one time while playing RuneScape. I would not call it love but rather a longing to be with them  . We became the best of friends. Maybe i should call them ... it has been a while since the last time we spoke. I moved onto silkroad and he went to FlyForFun.

I've known a few ppl who have met ingame and gotten together irl, tottaly sad and pathetic huh? I mean being together with someone you love like that and being happy, I mean dam, get a life!

If you meet in sro and are like "omg i love you" but don't ever meet in real life or anything, pathetic.
If you do meet them later in real life and do love them, then fine by me.
If you meet in the game, then meet in real life, but just stay with eachother online & talk online when the person is like right next to you, then WTF!!!??? *cough* do you know who I'm talking about? *cough*
