SRO and why it wont get any better.

Now SRO...i loved it, i mean i really did...at one point it
would be the only game i would play, forget my PS2 and Wii for me it was
SRO, then came the realization of it all despite playing with people who
were new to the game as well (Key-J, Van etc...) we all became aware
of the games problems, which am not going to go into any real depth here.

Now the reason i quit the game....i mean i still dont understand that even given how
the international version of the game is second oldest only to the Korean
version, why are we still shafted on updates and such like. Hell given how
Joymax themselves have been plagued by embarrassing problems.

Is it because they (Joymax) value their Asian based customers more then
us or that they dont consider this version as important. Either way after 2
years of playing this game has if anything gotten even worse, when a game
as problem with bots, gold sellers and spammers what you would do is to
close down the servers, update them and then reopen with hopefully more
secure security systems...what you certain dont do (which Joymax did) is to
open new servers every few weeks, yes in the immediate short term this
solves the problem of over crowding, bots, etc...
but introducing more servers only adds to these problems are all it does is
create more room for bots, gold sellers and spammers, and in the long run
is even more problematic as if their ever was (unlikely now) a plan to update
the servers it would not be worth while or cost effective due to the number
of servers.

Also anyone remember the anti-bot talismans? spawn them in an area
and sit back and laugh as the bots attack them and die...they were a
good way to kill bots...but Joymax got rid of them? i mean why, did the
bots complain about them? or the silly people who would attack them?
Either way Joymax removed our one true joy in the game...nothing beated
the feeling of sheer joy and pleasure as the bot would die in an explosion
of bright red flames which would always bring a smile to your face.

Theres more here i want to say but i dont have the time to say it at the
moment and as such i havent reached my point, hence why this may not
make sense, but ill be back to update it.

I loved those "anti - bot talismens" as you called them. They also helped a fair bit while jobbing if you knew how to use them.

You guys dont see it... ksro is beta testing the updates we are supposed to get. Is it so hard to grasp?

We still get bugs even after they test it, but why would they be here unless they're trying to hurry it up for us?

True but given how its actually Joymax (somewhere in LA i think

) who
directly run and operate this version of the game...so theres no excuse as
to why were behind on updates and such.

P.S.

We're getting Legend VI type update soon... kSRO only on Legend VII... and IMHO, kSRO is being somewhat our test server for updates... Heck we got the final version of the euro, compared to initial kSRO euro release, it's way way better... LoL!

Anyways, I understand what you trying to say Satman. But, there is no for sure way to tell what Joymax's plans are. And like Crumpets and iGods stated, being that it is a different branch, we do not know if they are still setting up their office, hiring new people and so forth. But I can assume that they ARE behind schedule on most of their goals. It is evident in some of the recent delays. For example, Halloween event and security issues.

Only time will tell the outcome.

First off, I have been playing since Nov. 2005, and you apparently have no clue why people "complain". If no one complained then there is a higher chance that nothing will be fixed.

cSRO has the same features currently as iSRO...and jSRO is actually behind iSRO in updates...

why do you people complain so much about the game, theres like 50 threads about joymax being gay. Just quit and play something else. I'm sure investing $60 into a really good FPS or RTS game would be worth more than spending $200 on gold tickets in SRO and pulling your hair out.

those things stopped working on bots a looong time before they were removed and besides everyone knows the one true joy in this game was one-star popping.

Plus, if I quit the game like you say you've done, I wouldn't be coming on a Silkroad Forums board, I mean, what would be the point? To talk about a game you hate and that you don't play anymore?
