Protector can do it good. But a good one.

Feel like don't have enough gold for good gears? Go armor :O

Garment, if it is really really good, or you will face the floor constantly.

+4 prot set works well
but if you can +4 a prot set then might as well do it w/ garms

Armor +1

How can you possibly take a 10k+ crit as a full int with garment?

If you can +5 your set, go garms. I am a lvl 80 pure int sword/shield in garms, with lvl 60 ice buff. I can easily tank a glaiver without snow shield on. With snowshield on, they have almost no chance of killing me :)

You can't tell what is the best unless you share your Masteries.

Lvl 80 Cold/Light/Bicheon will be using Garment.
Lvl 80 Fire/Light...whatever will be using Protector or Armor. (Protector!!)

In any case...armor sucks.IMO even if sun...armor still sucks.

For the purpose fo grinding, stick with garms. Then depending on your pvp style, switch to prot.

all depents who u wanna kill..
garment is for str, prot for hyb and armor for full int. my ex char was hyb with 102%mag balance and protector set&accesories +5 str 5 int 5 (2 str and 1 int miss for maximum) awesome parry awesome stats etc. and sun shield +5 br 20. 80% non sun players didnt had chance to kill me if im only staying cuz they didnt had top quality set. but still there was nukers and glaviers with awesome sets who had chance to kill me. so if u pure int u can tank good glavier without snow shield only in armor. (its big difrence in dmg between 2 same builds with half pimped and awesome pimped set) in armor set str's will hit u less (enough def to tank crits sometimes) but u will have problem with ints. if u wearing garment non sun ints almost dont have chance to kill u but glaviers bowmans AND bladers can kill u .protector - not enough good defence against both(im talking about awesome rivals in pvp). i prefer full int in armor set with fire60 light80 ice80 bicheon 80 cuz i enjoy killin glaviers -.- = chose what build u hate most and u will get answer for your set in my text
EDIT: sry for bad english =)

by reading this you can tell how many noobs are here every single person who said armor is a noob and you have never play a high lvl int character therefore you should not try to help couse you are doing just the opposite for full int is either protector or garm is a very close call couse garm is 10% faster and protector is a pretty complete defense once you put nice + on it if you ask me i will tell you to use protector if you want to do hardcore pvp and if you want to grind garm but both will deliver almost the same in both areas

you sure about that? Tristalia is a 1skill (SSS or SSE with 1 crit) or 2 skill (SSS/GSM) when there are no blocks involved and no snowshield...she is also fully farmed 80 with good garms lol..

80 farmed hybrid glaive here O_o
