So i´ve made a roque! insteed of a mage (wich died to much)

first of all, ive made a crossbow character, so i went lvling.
then when i was lvl 14, i had 300 skillpoints (2 gap)
but then i did all the dagger skills, well atleast the skills i could do XD
i saw that dagger owned more than crossbow, they have both there good points.

- crossbow -

-really great distance
-not really good damage, but its good.

- dagger -

-damn fast attacking
-lots of crits!
-pretty high damage, only 40 damage difference between my roque, wich shoots slow!~

so i think im going to de-level my crossbow skills, but i need ur opinion if i would de-level my crossbow skills, i just don't know!.

yes or no? crossbow may come handy if u first attack from a distance, when he comes close u attack him with daggers.

de-level or not?

Keep crossbow. You should max out both daggers and crossbow.

hmm interesting.

    crossbow vs dagger
  1. lvl with crossbows skills up to lvl 40
  1. after reaching 40 aim for 42 still using the Xbow, now make a 9 gap
  1. after farming about 100k sp start skilling daggers
  2. xbow cost the second least amount of SP, and does more dmg than daggers up to lvl 40
  3. after lvl 40 daggers does more dmg, because of higher crit probability and because of the [425%] dmg increase "Prick" technique.
  4. for grinding use Xbow, if you use daggers you will lvl slow, and probably die ;)
  5. after farming and maxing daggers and xbow completely use xbow to 2 gap or 0 gap [if you have premium and sp ticket, then 0 gap to 80 from 40] to lvl 80
so what have we learned?
  1. daggers does more dmg after lvl 40
  2. xbow is better at PvE
  3. daggers is better at PvP
  4. therefore when grinding use Xbow, and when Jobbing use Daggers
  5. if jobbing only use xbow when you need to snipe off many enemies
Essential Skills
  1. stealth
  2. Stealth extension
  3. scud
  4. scorn
  5. all xbow moves
  6. all dagger moves, some of these combos have long cool downs, and some enemies might take a long time to kill [some people block, and some ppl just pwn ;)] so it is essential to nvr run out of atk skills ;)
  7. always open an ambush with prick [if you don't have prick then open with long shot or screw]
Sub-Classing
  1. cleric: is a PvP orientated subclass i will bring vids soon: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWAmhiqBEjI
  2. bard: purely PvE i will bring vids : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-fhB-bzPK8
  3. warlock: some say it's good, i only have personal exp with bard and cleric so if you want warlock tell us how it is ;)

Personally I wouldn't subclass in warlock.
Rogues depend on the element of surprise, but when you need to debuff your enemey first then that element is lost.
Besides you already do ALOT of DMG (with DD / CE) and you can use bless to take out multiple enemies if you subclass in cleric.

You will need both Dagger and Xbow at the end. But before level 40, all dagger skills are useless except for Wounds, which you need for the later Mortal Wounds.

So for now, only get xbow skills. Once you hit lvl 40, start getting dagger skills.

People should keep in mind that when they say you level slowly with Daggers that only applies to when you Lvling Solo...if you just stick with party play and use daggers you can level with it just fine...farming solo is hard if you have a gap using daggers (gear not up to lvl) but if you farm in a party you should still be fine as long as its a good party...

i think barotix has it down pretty well. as everyone said if you have the sp keep both. Personally i'd say open with blast shot, then power shot, followed up by long shot (if you dont have the upgraded versions). Then when they get close, switch to dagger, prick, wounds, and combo blow.

As already mentioned:
- PvP: daggers
- PvE: crossbow

I'm trying to max them both out. :P

If you solo a lot, xbow is a lot easier to grind with, especially since with extreme on you can 1 hit most mobs your level with long shot. Not to mention the added bonus of KD and KB to help you stay alive.

Xbow VS Dagger Round1:

1. Im 45 lvl xbow/subclass cleric and can kill (-5 gap now):
- lv 52-53 xxx-face spiders on 2 hits
- lv 54 (penon figter) on 3 hits (they dont come to you too)
- lv 57-58 (?) big spiders on 3-4 hits (im not sure is that lvl tho)
- all my lvl mobs on 1 hit (bunwangs ;P)

2. On pvp i think daggers are much better vs. shielded chars, xbow vs all full int chars (always 1 hit ko, except 60-65 this on 2 hits sometimes on 3, higher - you give too low dmg yet)

3. Daggers + stealth = yay that hurt. BUT you cant kill when you stealth so offten so i preffer xbow when enemy is away then switch to daggers.

4. Subclassing for xbow is cleric or bard - both are good but i preffer cleric. Yes, its more farming, yest its harder to get skills but recorvery division and Bless spell is worth of that ^_^. As bard you get only Moving March and Noise witch is usefull when you wanna exp on places that are mobbed around, but if you wanna just sneak around them better use stealth than spend points on skills that are not so usefull for you.

5.This is a lot of farming, you know. So i wanna be forever on -5 -6 if i want increase all my xbow, dagger and cleric skills (to around 60 lvl of cleric only, and only for ress up to 80 lvl, and def buffs + holy words, and even for Bless Spell ^_^). Now i have ~4,5k sp and 10% on 45 lvl, before i level up i will be have ~6,5k i think or even more. Thats is not so big amount

6. What i increase it will be prick, dagger mastery, this 40 lvl combo and passive that increase dmg when stealthed. After that i put points into DDesp. I belive in one: when someone is stunned they block is not calculated but i can be wrong. First combo, after that - prick. I dont think so that someone can stay alive after that.
