Kinda reminds me of a cat i had as a kid, around 5-6 years old, was completely black just lacking 1 ear and an eye.. always fighting with dogs and stuff.

Cats purr when they feel pain also so ye...

Man, that cat story reminded me of that time when I was younger, when we found a little puppy by the river close to my building. The puppy had only 1 eye, and in place of the other eye, he had a scab covered by maggots. It made me sad just watching it. We cleaned the wound from the maggots, disinfected it and whatnot, and we fed it. Unfortunately, we found the puppy dead a couple days later. It made me really sad to see it's corpse laying there.

Made me sadder watching that little corpse than when I watched a 3 legged dog getting rocks thrown at him by 2 kids. I picked up a stone and threw it at 1 of the kids. When he cried out, I asked him how it feels to be getting hit by rocks. Back then I was younger than they were though, so don't think I bullied them. The dog later bit me while I was giving it food when it was eating something else and I still have the scar on my hand and the emotional scar of having a needle stuck in my arm by my mother...she was never gentle when giving shots...kinda just stabbed me really hard.

Don't abuse animals, because you never know when I might see you and pay you back.

I find dead/wounded animal more disgusting than sad.
Once at my front door there was a drowned cat, idk how it got there.

....Once this lady was shouting at the kids because she found a garbage bag in front of her door (3rd floor apt building). She used to throw her garbage out the balcony, and we got fed up with it and went for the payback.

I would make that kind of connection. (It means you are really hated, or being bullied...or bullied because you are hated.)
