Hey,
Well right now i have a pretty up to date laptop and the graphics are great and stuff. But whenever i use fraps my FPS goes from 35-40 down to around 10. This sucks, ive tried alot of things but i just cant get my fps to go higher.
Now ive decided that this year i want to get a new computer.
Does anyone know a really good pc build so i can record Silkroad footage at medium to high settings at a high resolution.
Thanks any help would be appreciated...

Depens on how much money you want to spend.
I would highly recommend a Intel Core 2 Duo Processor (like E6600-E6850), 2-4 GB DDR2-800 Ram Kit and a GeForce 8800 GT or GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB (the new one with G92 Chip).
That would be the optimal in-time configuration. If you have more money you can also replace the graphics card with a GeForce 8800 Ultra or something.
With this configuration you can play even Crysis on Med-High, so Silkroad would run easily.

Oh no, you got me. I didn't see the "not" coming - that was very witty of you.
Good job.

hahhaaha
I don't like dells, but some people love 'em.
If I were you, I'd go AMD. I like their processors better and they usually run cheaper. 2 gigs of ram will be good for now, but think about going to 4 in the future, depending of course, on what you plan on doing. I have 4gb now on my dual boot system with a geforce 8800 gtx and it's an awesome system
