I see that everyone talks about crossbows all the time, do you need both crossbow and dagger? Is it that hopeless to just use dagger?

Also are they pure str still? I am just coming back to the game...

Thanks!

Rogues are pure str. Always.

Crossbow is better to farm, and dagger is better for PvP and jobing, but crossbow can also de use for PvP as dagger can be used to farm. in my opnion go for boths, it's much much better. ;]

Well, if you go both you'll have to farm a lot more. In the end, I think you will want both of them (don't know if you use them both together, but it's more fun).

As already said, grinding is easier with a xbow untill lvl 40. After that, I don't think there's much difference between them. Xbow can kill the normal mobs a little bit faster cause of the range but a dagger is way more usefull for giants and party mobs.

Thats not true.. Maybe if you grind alone. I am lvl 77 rogue, I use xbow for hunting uniques and farming, and daggers for pvp/jobbing.. Its just what fits you most.

I meant if you grind alone. In a party you can use both...

Totally not  That's a real lifesaver, at least if you have cleric as your sub. You can get away from some really hard situations.
