well they are the owners, so it's right for them to have the advantage, they worked hard for it so they deserve an advantage.

And the above said post has a point if the server is active enough the reigning union should have heavy competition because of strength in numbers.

The union that works well together and knows what they're doing will win regardless of these "overpowered" fortresses. I think we should keep it the way it is, i don't see anything wrong with it, if they can't win it they don't deserve it.

Last time i checked Fortresses could be attacked at any moment. The 2 rivals didn't set up a date of when to kill each other

Thats the interesting bit about the siege war. Guilds/unions can talk to one another before the next siege, and come to some form of diplomatic arrangement (ie we work together until we reach the heart).

Thats true, but diplomatic arrangements dont stop splash damage. =\

Don't forget, it's a union vs the server. Defense of the fortress have to be tad bit high.

Actually, the Chinese battle tactics is one of the best in the world, over the last few thousand years. Here are a few examples:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Maling
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Changping
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Julu
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Gaixia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Guandu
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Red_Cliffs
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Yongqiu
And this is the battle that made me believe that counterweight trebuchet will be added with the SRO:Middle East update^^

Right now what i see is the same old crap coming from iSRO players...whine, cry, whimper.

I do not expect Joymax to fix the game because players are ignorant or arrogant and dont want to work together...one union vs the server and you want to get rid of splash dmg till you get to the heart?? LOL

I have the same problem on Persia but i dont want a splash dmg fix..i want my fellow attackers to learn common sense or idc if the ONE union holds it forever...they are organised and getting stronger by the week they deserve it.

So far its not unbalanced...its just attacking guilds dont think....dont communicate.

....You know, you can just get all the attacking guilds to put forth the 4-5 chinese pure str with high level snow shield that can hold hammers, slap em into parties with 1 cleric and 1 bard in each, get a bunch of warriors to screen and fence them from one party, and get a cleric to heal the warriors in that party, and you would just have those people attacking and being unable to die because of all the defense buffs on them.

A nice fix would be if commanders can summon war machines..or in lineage 2 style, Siege Golems that destroy the gates......and get rid of all the obstacles, that's a ridiculous concept. Or even better, make obstacles attackable with regular weapons and skills.

There should be nothing more than 1, maybe 2 walls that people have to go through, otherwise it's true, by the time anyone destroys all the gates and obstacles (even if it's 20 guilds vs 1 union and all the people with hammers attack nonstop) the war would end. The fortress war should be more PvP and less PvWOOD, meaning once they get through 1 wall, there should be very few obstacles besides actual players preventing the heart from being destroyed. After all, the defenders do have a spawn point close to the heart.

The next FW comes in a few hours. I am sure the sieging unions will do better this time. Let's see what they can throw at us this time, to show that FW is balanced.

Those are almost civil battles, the warring clans of Ancient China aren't really what I was referring to.

if u'r talking about western nations vs china late 19th-early 20th C, it's kinda hard to fight against people wit superior weapons.
