This is funny. Asteroid TU24 As Monday rapidly approaches NASA has all their satellites trained on asteroid TU24 which is speeding towards earth on an direct impact course. The asteroid should hit the Southern hemisphere at 0500 GMT on Monday the 28th. NASA through it’s tracking satellites was able to capture this startling photograph of TU24 just as it swung around the moon heading towards earth. God save us all….. And for you atheists, you’re up the creek without a paddle. LURKING, YOU’RE FIRED, ON THE GRASSY KNOLL

It should at least be something cool that kills us. Woohoo, earth's gettin raped by a big rock. I always wanted to die that way. They shoulda named it Akavar or something.. TU24 just doesn't sound fierce.

Quote: Other radar telescopes will point toward the asteroid as it makes its closest approach to Earth, 334,000 miles (537,500 kilometers), at 3:33 a.m. Eastern time Jan. 29.
For comparison, the moon is an average of 239,228 miles (385,000 kilometers) away. Latest thing i've seen. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,326125,00.html
