What would be the best combination of classes and strategies for guild war now a days? Pls put your opinions here.
Something I came up with.
Party 1 (Front line party) 4 Warrior/Cleric 4 Chinese glavies or bowman
*notes *Warrior/Clerics keep constant bless spell in party *Warrior/Clerics put phy screen and moral screen on the other warriors *Warrior/Clerics put phy and mag fence on glavie or bowman *4 Chinese glavies or bowman are for fodder purposes to keep things in balance of keeping the enemy distracted or disrupted
Party 2 (Assassin Party) 4 Wiz/Clerics 4 Rogue(crossbow)/Clerics
*notes *assuming the enemy has no idea the wiz and rogues are stealth ed/invisible *Flank the enemy and disrupt their front line as much as possible *If enemy is bunched up each wiz picks an enemy and does aoe attack to cause most damage *What ever is left over rogues take them out or at least keep him at bay
Lone Wolf Cleric *Main job is to buff and res *use reverse oblation as much as possible on rogue and wiz
Accumulative notes *warrior/Clerics must coordinate their attacks together for highest possible efficiency of survival and damage. *Wiz and Rogues must coordinate attacks for highest possible kills to leave nothing left *Glavies do whatever is possible to kill the enemy
I don't think its an effective strategy. I hope though I learn some ideas from people that can see out side of the box

when u cant get a party up, 2 2h warrior = invincible mode vs. any 2/3 builds especially 2 2h/cleric = taking turns of bless spell (45 sec + 45 sec), screen, phy/mag fence, iron/mana skin...2 KD, sprint assault (stun/kb) seriously 2 2h warriors owns any 2 other builds easily...while 2 2h/cleric are godlike

everyone emphasizes the euros, but the chinese, IMO still do the brunt of the work fighting.
Also, another thing that is often overlooked but will allow a "weaker" guild to win is better communication. It's an intangible, but I've seen many similar-level guilds go up against one other and one get completely annihilated because they had people just going off and doing their own thing

Its called smart strategy by using a cleric that is not in the guild to help res, buff, etc. It's also called cheating, as it defeats the purpose of a GUILD war. Ok, you have a party of warriors. Doing what damage? Here comes my Euro party, 2 warrior, 3 wizards, a warlock, a cleric, and a bard. Your defenses are cut out because of warlock debuffs. The wizards nuke you for heaps. The bard lowers your damage. The cleric heals any damage done, shrugs off all damage done to him. This party is completely self-sufficient. If the battle drew out, this party would eventually win as it uses no pots whatsoever.

warriors have holyword so warlock debuffs are ineffective. My group of warriors and glavies all attack your cleric then your wiz-->bard-->whatever is left. In the process stunning the hell out of whoever they attack. If your cleric is out of guild then we go for wiz-->bard-->tankers

Maybe, but warlocks still have more then enough ways to render you ineffective without using debuffs. Trust me, people on my server now realise this and target me quite quickly. ~_^

for euro parties you gotta keep things going smooth and reliable or else it falls apart.
I think the best would be:
3 tanks 3 wizards 1 cleric 1 bard
that would allow all ints to have warrior buffs. bard can tambour and allow the pt to tank better.
3 parties like that + a few chinese bladers to knockdown enemies who go for the cleric and you got a kick ass force.

I can see how Fly's party could do good. Need more info including main class/subclass 3warrior/clerics? or something else
I can see how you can keep a constant bless spell with this party if the sub classes are organized correctly.

I can see how you can keep a constant bless spell with this party if the sub classes are organized correctly. No subclasses. Euros don't need subs. In a party you will be playing one class only. The warrior switches to Bless, his buffs are gone. Two party members are screwed.

yup. what necro said. warriors can cast defence on party members without needing a cleric sub. a warrior who switches weapons WILL get the party killed. the min his weapon is off his fence falls off the ints and its game over for them.
wizards could do cleric no problem. so can the bard.

I would have to go with 3 warriors, 2 wizards, 1 warlock, 1 bard, and 1 cleric.
Bard can switch tambours as necessary.
minor off topic question: are fear, combustion, bind, hidden, and sleep prevented by cleric buffs?

Easy enough to completely disable a cleric before they're buffed anyway with a little help form Stun. (Daze/Wrath Daze from a warlock or Sprint Assault form a warrior)

No problem either. Though you can still knock the cleric out, though if they're full buff the warrior is the weakest link. You take him out and the party can crumble to pieces in seconds without those lovely buffs.

With your mastery at 80, you will be able to wear 3rd tier garments, and with the sun, the only thing you would lose is 16 STR/INT. I'd say its worth it to make 500 pts per kill.

Its an alternative to a wizard I guess... But Wizards have skills that are a lot better in terms of slowing and completely demoralizing the enemy.
