i was just wondering what EXACTLY does teh new ice buff do? if anybody from ksro sees this...i'd be grateful to kno.
cuz i've heard rumors about it making dmg be reduced from your mp instead of hp. so i'm not sure exactly how much of that is true. just wondering cuz i need to know so i can finalize my build.


(ps. if this belongs in other versions of sro, go ahead a move it. sorry if i made a mistake)

edit***i'm talking about the one that you see in the vids. the new skill series for ice

Yes, the mana shield transfers the dmg to your MP bar... Useful for INTs but there has been said that some STR use it and become unkillable... (loads of MP pots if you ask me)

edit: and personallyy....i think str chars are just gonna keep getting stronger this way. i really hope they make nukes/int chars hit a lot harder because from the looks of it, str chars are gonna get excessively strong.

depends on the percentage of damage absorbed by this new skill or else any str that will use it wont be able to attack due to low mp while using this new skill.
any skill is meant to help both sides but is always more effective on certain builds

not but it will make hybrid ints and pure ints more powerful and i don't want that to happen low HP is the ints weakness by that it won't

I wonder if the buff disappears if ya run out of mp?...otherwise str with it would have mp run out quick between skills and damage received...and have to time attacks to pots...could be more of a hinderence to str rather then making them unkillable...all builds can find ways to utilize skills but this definately seems like it will help int alot more

lol hell no, a full str would run out of mp, so he can't use his skills, this is very not helping i think!! :!:

If you ask me i believe that this new skill was created so that pure str and pure int could actually have a GOOD FIGHT...People always say that pure str pwns pure int ...which usually happens in ksro...Now even with a spear i can tank most of those freakn glaviers which bug me liek mad..but now bowman r the new glaviers though cuz they have the range for stun and kb that glaviers and bladers dont have and bcuz of their range as soon as i get into nuking range the idiots kb 2-3 times :( but thnx to the buff many of the fire/light nukers arent doing as well

well now that i have that all solved...i have a new question. (sorry!!! :? )

with such a strong defensive addition for ints...does anybody know if the fire nuke is stronger or the lightning nuke. i'm trying to figure out if i want light or fire as my main. Fire would help b/c of extra mag def (to go with the new phys def) and extra phys attack so i can hit hard on my GS and SS.

light would be good to get xtra mag dmg on the nukes plus ghost (which i think would help not only to get away for potting time but also for getting in close to archers since now they have KB and Stun).

what do you think?

90 bich/heuk
90 cold
90 light
30 fire (for the fire shield)

Hybrid bow with enough mp could be a great char if used with ice.
IIRC iceimunity doesn't exist in kSRO.
Higher overall damage as a full str bow.
Lower damage intake to compensate the hp reduction thanks to new icebuff.
KB+stun
Range.

Yea i waz jus trying out ma friends bowman he is hybrid... the dmg is still a bit lower than glaviers but the new range makes the only difference between them :p
But also dont forget... a proportion of the dmg is brought to your mp...and that absorbsion also increases with the quantity of mp soo it would benefit int hybrid even more cuz when those seconds are up then they can still tank till they can use it again


BTW I MEANT IT BY THE WAY TIME IS RECOREDED WITHN THE GAME

is the new ice buff kinda permanent (like other buffs, some minutes) or lasts, let's say, 15 secs like iron shield/fan storm?

i was thinking somewhere along the lines of pure int ice/fire/spear (30 in light for a lil extra dmg and some speed; 90 in the main 3 in case u didn't already know)

this way i figure you'll have the fire nukes which should at least make up for the dmg u lose from light buff. HOPEFULLY the ice mana shield will be strong enough to get rid of the need for Phantom. PVP will be something like 5th f.nuke/4th f.nuke/4th SS/4th GS. the reason is the nukes should hit hard already plus the two phy attacks at the end will hid hard enough to kill since i will have the xtra phys attack from fire passive. **the weakness of this build will be bowers for SURE. they will just keep Stunning and Knocking back me with their new skills and when i DO manage to reach them...its just phantom and start again. they will fck this build UP!

however i'm also building up a new lowbie to be pure int ice/light/spear (30 in fire) for the exact opposite reason. this way the light nuke+light buff will hit harder than the fire nuke. then from the nuke(s) i will shock with the 4th? book and then finish off with GS. what i'm hoping is for the time from the nuke(s) to the GS to be short enough to not allow for potting. **weakness? not dealing enough dmg.

but the thing that bothers me the most isn't how strong i am but how AMAZINGLY high the amt of HP pure str chars will have. i saw a pure str glav with 30k+ hp. WTF!!! and then the blader would prolly have around the high 20k's, maybe like 26-28? plus their shield? the nukes would have to hit for like 17k+ just to have a chance of even killing something like that.

anyways...i have ANOTHER lowbie pure str glavie. i might go hybrid with him and change him into a fire/ice/hybrid str glavier. and dont tell me screw that or thats gonna suck because with the xtra mp, my glavier is gonna use the ice buff and never fckin die. plus mag def from fire buffs. plus garms (or prot...prolly garms tho). omg. ^_^. and dont tell me i wont kill shizz cuz a good friend of mine has a hyb str glav and she kills a heck of a lot of people for not being fully farmed and only lvl 78 with a +5 glav and 1st tier garms. she can kill lvl 80 glaviers easy. she only gets beat by sosuns. she's a beast.

Hi, I've got a few questions about this subject. I'm using a future nuker and I'd like to know some things :oops:

- Does anyone know if this new buff is for level 80+? or if it's a new skill from low levels. I mean if you can have it at levels 20, 30 etc. but with less % of absorption.

- Does anyone know if there is any screenshot of this skill? or any website like sp calculator where we could see its properties.

- Does this skill transfer all the phy. dam. or magic dam. too?

The new ice buff has its own row and its before the ice passive. There a 4 different verisons of it lvl 20, 40, 60, & 80. The mana shield absorbs a certain % of the damage received and takes it at the cost of mp.

The mana shield which most ppl call lasts for 120sec (2min) and has cooldown time of 3 min so you have to wait 1 min before you can use it again. You can only use one at a time, and can't use other one while you wait for it to cooldown.

I'll post a pic of it when I have time, and I'll get the korean description from the game when I log in and try to translate it. As far as I know, it absorbs all damage cuz I have seen int nuker tank glavier, nuker, and a bower.

Well its in ksro, not in isro because they haven't got the new skills yet. It won't really help glaviers since they don't have much mp. It really for int players who don't much hp, but alot of mp.
