I made this because this problem occasionally pops up in the forums when people starts pk2ing. It will be no fun to get discouraged before you even start =(.
Incase this messes up, back up your comdlg32.ocx.
For reference, your COMDLG32.OCX file should be located:
Windows 95, 98, or ME:
C:\Windows\system
Windows NT or 2000:
C:\WINNT\system32
Windows XP:
C:\Windows\system32
1) We download the new "COMDLG32.OCX"
Click HERE!2)Go to where you comdlg32.ocx is located (see refereance above) and replace it!
3)go to start menu, click on RUN
4) According to your system, COPY and PASTE this in your command. (just double click to highlight the entire line)
Windows 95, 98 or ME:
regsvr32 \windows\system\COMDLG32.OCX
Windows 2000 or NT:
regsvr32 \WINNT\system32\COMDLG32.OCX
Windows XP:
regsvr32 \windows\system32\COMDLG32.OCX
5) Run it ( yes this takes a step, ha ha ha ha)
6)You should see a message saying "DllRegisterServer (location) succeeded"
7) Start PK2ing! NAO!!!!
From Blackdragon6, since i was too stupid to realize Vista counts as a system.

I just realized that you don't say how Vista users fix this error And I just upgraded to Vista and got this error.
Download the file in the first post and put in system32 folder.
Then Simple thing to do is just press the start button.
Then in the start menu search box at the bottom type cmd.
Right click on Cmd and press Run as administrator.
Then type regsvr32 \windows\system32\COMDLG32.OCX and press enter.
Source of info Googlesearch FTW
Proof of virus-free

*prays to never see this problem pop up in forums ever again*
