Is there anyway to set the default option for the camera to be at "Third Person View" instead of always the first person or quarterview options?

well no one really answered the question of whether it is possible to make the camera a third person camera as the default, there are two other options under the "view" tab

silkroad is actually already in third person view.. we have the option to set the camera to move freely, directly behind our toons, or at a fixed height. you do this by pressing F9 or through the options section.
correct me if i'm wrong but i think you might be asking if it has a first person view (for those of you who dont know what that means, first person is the view used in FPS games ^_^ "First Person Shooters" it means the view point of your toon, what it see's, you won't see your toon, but you might see the wep and hands.)

my dear, thats third person.
free view means you can rotate the camera freely (still in third person)
the second option "third person camera" simply fixes the view on the back of your character, and moves so that it always stays facing the back of your character.
the third option fixes the camera at a height and allows you to rotate freely around to see your charcter (without adjusting the height of course).

if your asking how to make it "third person" via the options just select it, it always defailts back to free view though.

in the future please be more specific about what your asking, because all of these views in game are classed as "third person". :)

He was asking if there is a way to make it not switch to default. His post was very clear you simply misunderstood him.

So as a brief answer no there isn't, you have to waste a whole 10 seconds each time you log in. Hardly a big deal right?
