Take this as a lesson learned. If your going to buy something from someone you dont know, tell them to set up a stall.

IMO anyone over lvl 20 should know by now how to do an exchange without getting scammed. You should also know not to trust anyone that you do not know personally... sometimes I wouldn't even trust them >_>
A little something that happened with me over the weekend (no I wasn't scammed):
A nuker friend of mine who wears full blue +3 armor came to me asking if I wanted to trade my full blue +3 garment set for his set. I said yes because I've been tired of garms. We put all 6 pieces in trade window at same time, double checked it all, agreed that if we BOTH didn't like it, that we'd trade back. The trade was made and we were both happy. 3 days later he wants the armor back and I said that I was happy with armor and didn't want to trade again. So he threatens to global me as a scammer, report me, blahblahblah.... so I called him a cry baby and gave it back. And all he kept saying was "don't scam me man cmon dont scam me".
I was just like "Dumb@ss you have my garm set. If I had scammed you, you wouldnt have ANYTHING."

True dat! I got exchange scammed when I was like lvl 8 or 9 (been so long ago cant remember hahaha) but it was only for 1.5k. I was so pissed then and now i can kill 5 mobs and get that much lol.
And you're friend is a whiney baby! He totally threatened you to manipulate you into giving him back his armor... but at least you seemed to be a gentleman about it

Yeah, I honestly don't care about my reputation on Troy. Most other level 7x's could give a damn haha. Save the drama for yo' mama! I just took him off my friendly list and will make it a point to kill him anytime I can since he's armor

I'm gunna take A shot in the dark and say that you all may just be noob? Possibly?
Look Yrade window does not = scam.....Not paying attention does.....It happeend to me i had sos shoulder to sell (worth 1.5mil) and some random comes to me and says 6mill, i was so excited i hit accept then accept again so fast i dint realize what happened....and just like that i was scammed.....
Just a notice to u noobs....Just take your time make sure u bothe hit confirm the first time before u hit confirm the second time....and this scam will not happen....also double/triple/quadruple the item that is being traded make sure it is the same and not nearly a similar item....
With that said bye
Yea Boi !!
