I still remember the early stages of Silkroad. Silkroad Forums was the helpful forum with great mods and an even better community. All the drama was concentrated on the Tavern and a little of it dripped into SRF. The game was extremely fun for me at the low levels. Jangan with the large amount of active non-botting players. It was quite a feat to hit level 20 because it took about a week for me. Everything was new for me. i still remember for the first 30-60 minutes of this game. i was stuck in Jangan's red-light district looking for the NPC General Sonhyeon told me to go to hehe. I remember Ryoko closed this forum down due to the c.r.a.p that was building up; and now, the flames and bot threads are rampant on this forum.
The Game and the community seemed to have gone downhill, we expected a lot from Joymax but they failed to deliver.

Where is "just a game" choice?

It look me way longer than a week to reach 20 XD. I'm one of those ppl who mainly played for friends/chatting, and I could never grind for hours a day. I play a lot less now though.

But ever since coming back 2-3 months ago, I've got a really laid back "I don't give a damn" attitude, so I don't let stuff get to me like I did before. It's supposed to be a game. Games are supposed to be fun and I plan on keeping it that way. There's no need to play something if all it does is cause you to want to punch someone in the throat.
If I die I brush it off, if someone talks shit to me I ignore them, if I don't like someone I'll ks them until my mouse breaks, if my alchemy fails (which it usually does)- better luck next time.
Playing to play is a LOT more fun than playing because you have to, or because your friends play.

Choice 1, since most of my friends play, seriously this game would not be fun if you dont have a guild or a friend.

Yea.. having fun and is good game ........But some want have all and they start to complaining over this and that untill building up more BS , But be always a drama over it...

I always turn to bad mood if one of the stuff you said above happens to me. And yes, you're right, sometimes I feel like just want to punch their face. But now reading your post I see I'm just a fool dropping my feelings down just because of a GAME.
Especially now, I've killed red a bad4ss kser and exit SRO to lurk in here

I couldn't play SRO for like 2months.. because of ISP problems. Today when I finally could, I GOT BORED. SRO isn't appealing at all now.. But oh well, I will get addicted soon again

I am lvl 29 now 50% to lvl 30, Only reason i'm this high coz 1st guild i joined i got booted coz i didn't speak french wdf ^^ I been 3 days hard grinding on my own lol.

I just play to have fun. eventually I'll catch up to those at the current lvl cap . I guess I'm just enjoying the journey to the cap where others just hurried to it and had no fun with the structure of there character. there will be a final lvl cap and I will be there, maybe not as soon as others but they will probably have quit from boredom by then anyway. besides what's the rush, so many people are at the cap that it don't mean much anyway.

Only because it's fun and since wasting time is my favorite game, why not.

so true, ppl take stuff to seriously, like letting botters get to u, if i was the only legit playing i would probably still play, atleast i can say something that noone else can and thats i made it here myself. Just play to have fun or achieve ur goal, if there is no goal for u to meet or just dont have fun playing anymore just let the game go, simple.
