I think the alchemy system is farked up. I've used 5M worth of stones, nothing on my weapon % changed. Only the numbers, all of them degraded and only one stone successful. I spent selling a week worth of shit just to get the stones I needed. Thx now 5k plssss.

You must have equal or greater immortals on your item in order to have astrals. IE. Astral 2 immortal 1 = no go. Astral 1 immortal 2 = good to go.
Now, what stat does it look at first when something fails? Immortal or Astral? Im thinking in this case, immortal.
Sooo....You have 2 of each on your weapon, roll for +8, fails, takes 1 immortal. Now you have 2 astrals and 1 immortal, which cannot happen, so it glitches and eliminates the astrals which arent supposed to be there, hence it dropping to 0.
What do you think of that?
Ive heard of this happening before, and the theory above is the only thing i can think of that...well.."makes sense".
Lesson? Maybe to always have 1 more immortal than astral at all times.
before i started i had 2 astrals 2 immortals 2 lucky 2 steady 2 lv 8 lucky power and 2 wep elixirs
after it failed i had
1 astrals 1 immortals 1 lucky 2 steady 1 lv 8 lucky power and 1 wep elixirs
it's got to be a bug.. i have done a few weps to +7
and why not buy one pimped.. cose i dont buy gold!!!
i got it fixed back to where i started. here is where i stand
72+7
the phy is +77%
mag is 42%
phy rea +70%
crit 10
100% full blues across the board..

Just a thought.
If you have an even number of astrals/immortals and you fail it will take both an astral and immortal. For the item to lost and immortal it first has to fail and when it fails you lose an astral.

It depends on which attribute is looked at first when trying to + and item. If astral is looked at first and it fails then the items will go back to +4. But, if Immortal is looked at first because the weapon would have been destroyed then the immortal attribute disappears to save the weapon. Now, with Immortal being used first and saving the item there is no longer any immortal. You can't have astral without immortal. When the immortal disappears first the astral also disappears, but does not save the +4 (basically like it never exsisted).

i payed for astrals from the mall. i had 2 of all the things needed and still went to 0.. it is a bug.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to explain what happened to your weapon.... i was trying to explain (as did Ellisd) that astral works only if the immortal does not work first.

there is no way in hell that you can have 1 more astral then immortal...& the process goes more like...
1)if failed & Going to get destroyed, then use immortal to save it (So u lose 1 immortal), if u also have astral then it takes away an astral to keep item at +4...so u lose 1 immortal & 1 astral...the #'s of immortal & astral will then always be equal to each other or always more immortal then astral
2)if failed & not goint to get destroyed, then no immortal will be used, however 1 astral will be used to maintain at +4...

Nobody said you could. I suggest you re-read my "theory". Specifically the underlined and bolded parts. It might help to understand what i meant.
But the theory i now see would only work if you only had 1 astral and 1 immortal on your item, not 2, because the extra astral should save you.
