ahhhhh... long break, no posting for some time, back to posting now. Still won't post often though
Well that's a good point though. Yes, auto-pill doesn't stop ice. I use chain spear tiger, and once I'm frostbitten in of the 3 hits, all of it becomes much slower. Yes, it does help, but it doesn't render ice useless.
Nice guide for grinding thingy btw
Didn't read it during the original post
Merely read the part about "The best 4 builds"
I know ice doesn't do so much damage, and it won't work as well in PvP now, but that's still different for melee int users. Ice can help stop the enemy, which is more important than actually killing them. They're already dealing good damage WITH ice, but if they keep getting themselves hit, then they WILL die if it's 3 monsters on them, not to say 4 on them or more.
Fire does deal more damage, but int users can't last long enough to save that extra hit. With ice, however, they can slow their attack rate down, reducing 3 on 1 to 2 1/4(two and 1 quarter) on 1. This can actually SAVE them that precious 2% that they lose, and that's especially bad when they're at high lvls.
P.S: My bro keeps getting killed by Ujigiys and Mujigys He loses almost 6-8% a day, even though he uses ice, but it's because of lag, in which case fire wouldn't last any longer. My bro's lvl 47, and I'm unfortunately the freakin weakest in my guild, lvl 32 . I'm in Troy server.

one question, ppl specialise in one force skill then have a sub skill, would it not be best just to pump ur SP into just the 1 force skill? ive been putting into lightning without using a subskill, would it be a good idea to start adding a sub skill of fire? and just put points into buffs and/or nukes in the sub force sill? im unsure what to do can someone give me some advice please.

Fly can u please explain a bit more what are the most essential blade skills that a person with no time to sp farm should add?
You talked about combos and I agree they are a must for every blader, but what about the smash series and soul cut blade? Also, is flower boom blade and sword dance worth maxing?

What is flash-run? auto run? trace? auto attack? I havent figure out what auto run is for....
I use auto attack or weapon skill to run up automatically and start attacking, usually weapon skill and hit imbue one tick before whacking it. But sometimes its very hard to select the mob if it keeps moving = =

Flash run is a lightning skill in the grasswalk series. It teleports u in a way for a few meters. Auto-run just makes u run in one direction, kind of useless. If u select another player and then use trace, u will follow that player.

Hi! I'm new to SRO and I have a question concerning skills. The guide (which is great btw :] ) tells to max all fire skills (the pure str/fire build), without fire wall and something. Does this mean to max out all the books in the skill, or just the strongest book and the first books only as a prereq?
And the 2nd question: What is the max skill lvl and the max mastery lvl ?
Thx in advance for the held

Code: Leveling Rate:
Double exp scroll ftw.
1-15 takes like 4+ hours. 15-25 will take 1 days. 25-30 will take 2 days. 30-40 will take 5 days. 40-50 will take 10 days. 50-60 will take 20 days. 60-70 will take 40 days. 70-80 will take 60 days. 80-90 will take 120 days.
-=-=-=-=-===-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-=-=
Thats with double exp scroll, if thats been posted please scold me since I didnt want to read 5 pages of crap. Im sure with 6 more hours of leveling after the 3 hour time you could get it even faster but it's 3am and I really don't feel like doing complicated math =.=... and these are rough estimates off my leveling experience. I personally save 3 hours for the next day of level so I can have 6 hours of level :\. Sacrifice one day to have a nice steady leveling rate.

I dunno if Im counting right ... but if
1-15 takes like 4+ hours.
15-25 will take 1 days.
25-30 will take 2 days.
30-40 will take 5 days.
40-50 will take 10 days.
50-60 will take 20 days.
60-70 will take 40 days.
70-80 will take 60 days.
80-90 will take 120 days.
with little math ... ( 2 ^ X ) x 120 . X = 15 - 9 so
(2^6x120)x2 is about 15360 days ,
why the whole thing of 2^6x120 Double ?
its not eactly double its I dunno how many percent but u have to double it to have the amount of time needed to go from 1-150 not 140-150 .
by what people say , it sounds like the time of 1-140 will take as long as 140-150 ( almost as long ).
15360 days = 42 years , eh I doubt it will take that long .

mbd2884 wrote: BLADE PVP
While many in iSRO believe blade is the best pvp build, from rumors from friends, a few posts in forum. This is true, but the build they believe to be the best is very very wrong. Ask any high lvl blade character on Korean or TW server and they'll confirm what I tell you. Mostly because I've been talking to lvl 80+ korean players for about a month now.
Here it is: Fire. Period. BLades do not use ice or lightning, both have been proven over and over to be too weak. Yes a blade can tank with ice, but it will never kill. An Ice blade will never take off 10K+ hp off a glaive. Ice is just the weakest force you can use, a lightning blade has more power. Fire is the choice, there is no such thing as a good ice blade. Only in iSRO where people love to see a blade chain with ice for 10 minutes is it good. Anywhere else people want to see a 1 minute battle, with a fire blade with huge dmg.
No chain! Chains are weak! Chains take time... A good pvp blade never uses chains for the reason I already said. After lvl 60, blade will have 3rd book knockdown and 3rd book stab. 3rd book stab allows for 2 stabs and then a second book for 3 stabs total. You can if you are quick, have up to 4 stabs including first book, requires very nimble fingers. The knockdowns cool down period are set so they can be used over and over without any combos needed. A good blade maxed knockdown and maxed fire will do more dmg from 1 knockdown than in the whole chain with crit. And will take less time. I say again, no good blade pvp past 60+ uses chains.
High crit: You want this more than glaives. Because blades normal hit isn't as high as a glaives soul spear, you want to get your crits. When a blade crits on a knockdown and get his 3 stabs in, very good chance that your oppenent is dead. That simple. A crit anywhere among your knockdowns and stabs will be huge.
How many of you died when a glaive used his soul spear and criticalled? This is exactly what blade do. Except your on your back, can't do anything, and he crits on his stabs, which can outdmg a glaive. Imagine 12K dmg minimal just from 1 knockdown and 3 stabs. Yes it can be potted, but when you stand up and the blader criticals on his 3rd book knockdown, you're dead. Fighting high lvl good blades is more frustrating than fighting an ice user, you're constantly on your back and always fearing he may get a critical that will end your life. Think about it and talk to some high lvl bladers. Im not talking about the extremely weak ice bladers lvl 60s here, those guys never kill unless their oppenent is 5 lvls below them. Even then its hard for them.
u said that fighting a blade using knockdown and stabbing skills is very frustrating. what did the high lvl blades that u talked to say, will win? a fire glavie or fire blade using those skills (both full str. and same high lvl)? will a fire blade be superior to glavie? if yes, why there is so less fire blades in high lvl, but a lot more fire glavie?

Well, from what I gather, str/fire/bladers are slower to level than str/fire/glaives. With the already popular idea that SP farming is necessary for a starting character, and that you cannot really enjoy the finer aspects of the game til lvl 20, people will generally go for the faster leveler for their first character.
If you really are not familiar with the game mechanics, there is a good chance you will eventually feel like you are behind the curve with the str/fire/blader. Especially when your glavie cohorts are already dealing massive damage, and leveling faster.
str/fire/blader with 30000 SP before lvl 20? For a first character? yeah right, LOL. Who in their right mind would put themselves through that sort of punishment, unless they had played a high level character before, and thus understood what they were building for.
Another factor you need to take into consideration, is that in any PvP situation, there are too many factors at play that can affect the outcome of the battle. glavie vs. blader vs. bow in PvP will all be situational.
Str bow over all else from a distance.
bowman looses his/her advantage when the oppoenent gets in close with substantial health left over.
Glaive over all else in terms of first hit/ first kill
glaive looses their advantage when there buff is shielded, or they loose too much health in approaching a bowman
Blader over all else in close combat
blader looses their advantage if the bowman takes them out on their approach, or he/she fails to block a critical hit from the glavie
It is entirely situational.
In terms of ancient combat, you can think of these weapons fullfilling different purposes. The archers stood behind the front lines to pepper the enemy with arrows from a distance. Your glaives were on the front lines if enemy cavalry were expected. The glaves would take out the cavalry with their heavy blows, and in many cases the horse too. And finally the Men-at-Arms, were your close combat brutes wielding sword and shield, trained not only to dish out damage to the enemy, but also to absorb the enemy's blows so they could outlast their opponents.
In short, the blader will rule in situations where close combat is drawn out past those first few seconds.

No other posts really caught my eye. About that flit, Ice is easy's primary, he doesn't just have lvl 1 ice, he has maxed ice. Getting stuff to level 1 or 2 isn't really worth it. Go full, or go home, and since ice IS the weaker imbue, Fire is generally considered more worth it.

the next book of grass walk is called phantom walk. it is used to move your character very quickly a certain distance. if you ever see people move almost super fast with a yellowish streak behind them, thats what it is. you need it to be in a quickslot to work correctly. the way it works is you hold your mouse over a certain place, not clicking, just hold it. hit the quickslot it is in and you will travel as far as the level of your move allows in that direction. hope that helps.

The 1 mil job items make you invisible on the minimap. For traders and theifs, it also makes so the ncp thiefs don't attack you camel directly.

is this a typo sir. 2 years to get from 80-90 or is it 2 years to get from 1-90 and if they raise it to 150.... its gonna take probably 4 years.................?!?!??!?!?!
It takes 640 days if you're grinding, but it will be faster if you're doing quests.

This guy makes me laugh he posts ONE thing on the forums and it's this, ummm yeah "but when you stand up and the blader criticals on his 3rd book knockdown you're dead." Haha they have to be on the ground for that skill to work...Not to mention the fact I've NEVER seen a person use more than one stab move when the person is knocked down, and it only has a 50% chance to actually knock the enemy down. In a perfect world you would knock somebody down, then not knock them down, then knock them down, but it isn't a perfect world. So the chances that the skill keeps knocking them down is equally likely to not ever knock them down for as many times as you use it. Chance of this happening are slim but it can still happen.
And there's now way knockdown moves can do more damage then a glaiver. The glaive has skills such a ghost spear-mars with 327-420 280%, now how is a skill at 318-389 100% going to do more damage then a glaiver. Blades and glaives at the same degree and such do around the same amount of damage because blades attack TWICE, So how is a character with a weaker one hit weapon and skill going to do more damage then a glaiver of the same level? Oh right it can't.
