Well since we're here talking again and again about builds, I want to post my oppinion and ask for some advices.

Pure int is great in PvE. Nothing IS better and you can't deny. I may not be able to tank like 8 mobs, but sure thing it doesn't take me half an hour to kill one(see bladers). In pvp, i am kinda weak, and, since i'm farming i am sure to be a sitting duck unless i'm fighting somebody like 3 or 4 lvls lower. Dunno about when i get my skills up to 43 as my char lvl, but i'd probaby rule coz i have some pimped out sos+3 lvl 42 spear(bought it for like 14M). But, as somebody said earlier, some lag could make you hit the ground in an instant(and with my ISP no wonder i die all the time).

So, my question to everybody who has tried pure/hybrids first hand : Should i hybridize? I mean i'm only like lvl 42 so if i put str up to 56 i'd have like a 3:1 int:str hybrid. Now i heard some mate is doing a s/s 5:1 int:str hybrid, but i seriously doubt that slim ratio doing any help to his hp.

Btw, i am 42 and farmed about28k SP(i got bored after), got my fire and light to 39, heuskal to 32 and still have like 21K SP. I use a 42+3 SOS SPEAR Mega Pimped, i'll post a screenie as soon as i can. My style of play is not the "hit-and-run" type, I like more of the : nuke until enemy gets to me, then maybe tank enough to hit him again and send him to the heavens above. I'd like to hear ppl's oppinion on that, not necesarely considering the new skills and stuff which might take awhile to implement.

If i should, then what hybrid should i choose?
I've been also told to try a dual build, but i seriously doubt i'd have the SP and money to do that, plus that switching weps and sh*t...uses too much of my brain:D.

I'd like to keep a neat tidy topic, so please, only post advices or oppinions related to the topic itself, i really don't want to hear OMG GLAIVE RULES or MAKE A NEW CHAR GO STR thing. Thanks in advance for anybody who will reply(hope you'll be many ^^).

im going pure int spear, fire & lite. sp farming at the moment. I have the same question as u but i'll stick to pur int spear coz i want to kill fast and lvl fast. im not much into pvp for pvp sake, i like doing jobs but i like doing them with guildies. so i can play support char, like nuke+ss+gs = dead (hopefully :D ).

at current cap, i think pure ints will always be weaker to pur strs in pvp, but im hoping when next cap comes, it will even out a bit (i.e., ice skill & more powerful nukes).

also, my main reason for going pur int spear is to ks bots :D , ive tried going to lvl3x using bladers/glaviers and it pisses me off when ppl ks me. its payback time

PvP FTW...i mean even if you're doin jobs, you might end up as a 2* trader against a thief your lvl in 1v1. Plus that usually if you 2v1 ppl all you a noob. So i want to make sure i wil be a very hard to defeat, if not impossible^^ opponent in pvp. With PvE i can handle, ittakes much more time to click on a maong than to actually kill it ^_^. ..... flying beasts. Anyway, i'll consider and not add any stat points until i really decide what to go for ^_^.

If you want to use a spear, hybridize by all means. You need to be almost pure INT if you want a sword.

Since i decided to bump this topic once, i will make a new post instead of editing ^_^.
So, here'sthe spear that my 2 fragile hands wield :
Image

her story is long and full of failiures.Bought it +3 crit 11 for like 14M, int3'd it, made mag 61% after like 4 or 5 tries, put str1(hoped for str4:().
So, I know Str1 sux, but except for that what would be worth adding? (except for Pay-to-get items such as astral and immortal). Keep in mind i am like 42 and not gonna usethis spear 4ever :D:D. I was thinking of smth like attack rating. Durability aint a problem cos my style of play makes pots run out much faster than weapon durability...So, now you have two things to debate :)).

yeah attacking rating is very important on weps, decided weather the damage is at the max end or the min end of its capability.

Well, what set you wearing?
Armor?
Protector?

I'm a hybrid at level 32 and I'm using protector, but I started at the beginning going hybrid.

Since your mostly INT, I would say go to armor if your not already.

i think ur ok with prot considering u kill mobs at 1 nuke (with that very nice sos spear :D , me want too), or nuke + lion shout, means u'll not get hit at all, just keep ur eyes out for the aggro mobs. :D

im not lucky with alchemy, so i try to buy pimped gears instead, they normally sell for much lower than the actual cost it took them to pimp it up. :D

Thats exactly what I do, I find it really dull to just nuke, nuke, nuke until mob dies, but if 3 mobs your level attack you, then you are dead. Str is kinda boring as well, you practically just smash 2 maybe 3 keys repeatedly to use certain skills and thats about it. I'll ,again, quote myself

As a int hybrid spear I can inflict more physical damage than a full str, build which can not kill me easily because of the extra hp I get from being a hybrid, heuksal and protector. I can not get one-shot by pure ints because of the extra int I have, which translate in a good magical defense. You can not say anything sucks at all without having tried before it.

Note that the damage inflicted using physical skills is not physical damage per se, but instead a combination of both, phy and mag.

Nice, i really like how people around here answered...About the attack rating, i added it(only strikes tab though). And i am beggining to hybridize and really feel the difference. I can actually kill somebody my lvl in pvp, even str's(depending on each other's luck of stun's and crits). But i feel good ^_^.Or that may be due to the fact i have 2 soses on me and at level 47 i will have 4 out of 6 defence pieces sos  . I am going for protector, with some armor(sos shoulders, can't give them up ^^), but i think garm has more advantages since the phy defence you loose is not that big but it gives a huuge mag defence.I dunno we'll see :). Anyway thx for your replies guys.
