I don't want any crap about change to spear or use blankity blank, anything you can tell me besides what I'm asking I've already thought of.

Simple Question:
ONLY damage output concerned, do you think a 76% intelligence hybrid s/s (I know I use spear too, but I'm asking sword) is high enough for kills?

I haven't tried Hybrid S/S, but has been said in some discussions that it's better to have at least 85% of Mag Balance or the damage would be too low...

I know very little about INTs, and even less about hyrbids, but 76% sounds VERY low. Especially for a S/S.

I'm only asking because of the successful 73% hybrid intelligence builds of spears, and was wondering it could be adapted to a s/s/s, but mostly s/s.

The 73% Hybrid INT of SPEAR have enuf damage to make ... but S/S it wuldnt b enuf .. its quite low for S/S.

It is not enough. You should have 80% Mag balance naked as a INT Hybrid.

its way too low you should have at least 80% magic balance naked (83-87 preferred) i know because i am one

dont listen to people that say 90% thats way overkill

ummm my spear was 79% naked and my sword was about 87-90%

id raise your % to be above 83%, your damage would be too low to kill STR's in pvp.

Is that 76% with or without gear?

No, s/s that are too hybrid is like a pure str blader except with 8k less hp, I would switch to spear if I were you. What level are you?

I'm pure intelligence right now, PvE with Spear and won't go hybrid for a while. I'm NOT 76% atm, but considering all builds, and was wondering how low I should go (or high). I know everyone 'says' go 80%+, but was wondering what you guys thought.

If you're going to try and use s/s add all the int you can, if you're going with spear you need anywhere from 71% to the highest you can get.

No, at lv80 with that % you will never kill anyone, not even in zerk.

So... 80%+ or 85%+? I'm thinking either 82% or 86%... which is a better balance between health and damage?

Anything above 90+ is fine for int sword anything below that isn't good.

So, here's what we have:

83%
86%
90%

I would put in a poll, but that edit button is out of my reach from my couch. I'm almost 5x and if I don't start putting in strength I'm not going to have time to get some of the lower builds.

What do you guys think from these?

P.S. If any of you link me a guide, I have already read it, this is fine tunning. Also, I will have your soul.

people used 90 before because we did not have the new skills and unless you had a very high magic balance you couldn't kill anyone but now we will have skills at 80 so anything above 80% should be good enough i think about 85% would be the best magic balance if you want to be able to nuke and tank

notice how people that actually are hybrid s/s recommend a magic balance near 85% 90 is way too much just be pure int if you are going to do that

imo 90 is too much int, 85 would be the perfet balance...

a spear does 17% more magical damage then a sword

so if a spear should have something like a 75% naked balance,
75*1,17=87,85 (75 mag balance*1,17 becease sword does lower damage)
so a s/s user shoud have a mag balance around 88%?


maybe i'm totally wrong on this, i don't know how much magical balance inflicts damage

is that 1.17 with a small typo? I'm only asking because I'm wondering where you got the 1 from? is that compensation for the low damage? I think 100% is a little too much...

I think some countries write the decimal place with a comma.
