Hello i'm totally new to the game and i just started a cleric. I'm now level 15 and i didnt spend any point in my build, i dont even know what to get. Someone could help me ? the only thing i want is be useful and not useless in a party and mabye able to solo mobs in the game with great damages. Someone know if it posssible to realize with a cleric ?

Oh yeah do i really need to take another class with my cleric ? each build is like cleric/wizard or cleric/warlock what the big difference. Can i do a Cleric only build or not ?

Thanks in advance

Start creating a gap and farm for skills as you go. I believe a guildmate told me a 2-4 gap is enough for a European to max it's skills. Basically max every skill within that mastery.

What I should have done with my cleric was identify what skills and build I wanted to have. Get some more suggestions for your sub-class; remember it doesn't HAVE to be the same level as your main class. Bard sub works well for moving march and noise when soloing (speed and monsters ignore you), to some degree in a party for mana cycle and hit march if you're not healing. Warlock works well for debuffs, but I'm not familiar with it, so I'll let someone else with more experience speak up.

Not all cleric skills are super-useful right away, and some are geared more towards PvP than PvE. For example, I rarely use my heaven flash (bind spell) in PvE, but sometimes in PvP. And the 1 minute cooldown on Offering means I only use it once in a PvP, and sparingly in a party. Same for Bless - takes 2 mins to re-cast. Your Trial Cross and your cleric rod and maybe Overhealing will have to suffice for soloing for quite some time. You'll want to party as much as possible as a Euro anyway, and make sure you understand how clerics work in a party so you don't get killed or get people killed. A Cleric will also most likely prefer light armor so you are not so susceptible to attack, although a few people prefer Robes for the healing.

As a cleric you're going to want to go Int, so don't put many (if any) points into Strength. Yes, you may die more often.

Check that out for starters and then look in the Guides section viewforum.php?f=5 There are places where the skills are explained.

Cleric Guide - viewtopic.php?t=59156

Most info are there lol :)

My opinion:

- Armors I'd go light armor for the str/int buff bonus, it's really more helpful than the extra healings you do.

- I'd go full INT. In party, if you have a tank that knows what he's doing then you shouldn't die with Pain Quota/Physical Fence.

- Some skills are for PvP like Over Healing, Heaven Flash, Holy Word. Recovery is rarely used unless your tank is in critical condition. So if you don't plan on pvping often then you can probably skip those.

- For subclass, you have the options of Bard, Warlock, or Wizard. If you don't want to farm at all then just go pure cleric. Out of all those 3, bard requires the least SP to get; Second is wizard, and warlock requires the most.

Bard is generally for moving march, noise, and healing MP/buffing in a party so you don't need much sp for it. If you want to go Wizard, then you have a choice to skip the Cleric attacks since you can solo/damage much better with wizard attacks. Warlock is more of a PvP type of character. You can solo quite decent with it, but it's not really useful in a party until late 40's. Most party will prefer an extra wizard or bard over a warlock.

Hm.. that's all I can think of right now.. getting late :p Hope that helps a little.

I'm a pure int cleric and I chose to use robes for the decreased MP consumption seeing as I don't know any bards to steadily party with (on Hera). It also helps a fair amount with healing; faith is underestimated. I chose not to have another class because I won't have enough SP for it, and because cleric is all I need and want.

The only skills I have are:
Healing
Reverse
Innocent
Faith
Group Healing
Healing Division
Healing Cycle
Bless Spell
Recovery
Charity
Holy Word
Force Blessing
Mental Blessing
Body Blessing

All of the above are maxed at my current level (38 i believe), except Innocent. I left that at level 1 since I lack the SP to raise it any further without compromising more important spells. My parties tend to train on monsters that don't inflict status effects anyway. I didn't get glory or favor armor because I use robes. I plan to get Group Reverse because there are times that I wish I had it. It saves time, and it can potentially keep the rest of your party alive if half the party is dead and the other half is fighting a crowd of monsters. I also plan to get Reverse Oblation for the tanking capabilities and instant revival (no 5 second wait time after revival). I might be dropping Group Healing seeing as I rarely use it.

When I party, I spam Healing and use Healing Division when necessary. Recovery and Bless Spell are emergency situation spells. If you only use Recovery/Group Recovery/Group Healing/Healing Division, you're both VERY likely to run out of mp and VERY likely to pull 10 monsters off the tank and onto yourself. Healing Cycle helps quite a bit as well. I usually use it when a tank is coming back to the party with 10 monsters following him. It doesn't pull monsters to you, and it helps you keep the tank alive. Sometimes, its even more mp efficient than using other heal spells.

If your server is more party oriented than solo, you will definately need recovery and all other spells in that line. These heals have an instant cast time, and they can be used when your other heals aren't available yet.

If you want to be able to deal damage pick a wizard instead of a cleric, or add on wizard skills if you have the SP.

Hi Hi!

In my really humble opinion, i think clerics shud get all the skills, or at least most of them.

I'll post my cleric skill tree. I'm a main cleric with warrior sub (lvl 10-for shield bash), and here it goes.

Notice i pointed the healing skills i never use, cuz they're not that handy, unlike the others.

I'm pure int cleric, and clerics NEED to party with other people. That's the main reason why clerics exist! lol.

Anyhoo, when you're in a party, you've to keep recovery division up, try to healing cycle your tank so he/she/they feels safe. And whenever one of your party mates (say damage dealers get hit) are being attacked, use the rapid healings, instant group healings, and you can keep healing them with Healing orbit or with Recovery Division itself; hence your party is healed all the time. You dont need/have to spam healings, healing spammer clerics are the biggest noobs ever made.

What to wear?, a good light armor set. Why? cuz clerics passive gives you better defense (mag and phy defense) if you wear light armor. BESIDES, you can buff yourself and others better.
I used to wear robe in my very first levels, but even tho i was saving mana and healing slightly (yes, slightly) better, i couldnt buff properly and my defense was weak; and that's the main reason why i switched to light armor. Better defense to stay alive and buff others, that means your party will do fine. You'll never run out of mana cuz you're supposed to be doing an exact job! lol. Remember, dont spam healings, just healing cycle the tank, and keep recovery division up, or better yet using healing orbit, and use isntant and rapid healings just in case other get attacked, that way your party members HP will be smiling cuz they're full all the time, AND you wont be doing like most of the clerics, standing and spamming and raping mana.

Now for attacking skills. I use justice cross to fight against lower level chars than me. JC(justice cross) is not that strong, UNLIKE what to me is the best attacking skill ever made lol; that's the over healing and glut healing. Max them both!, yes both. I've seen noobs only maxing the second book but they dont even know that the first book is even stronger than the second, lol.

Why you need the over healings if they do "low damage"?.
Well that low damage cant be blocked or defended. Over healings ignore all defense and it's an absolute damage. You can pwn noobs being on bless spells, using skins and screens, only with your over healings.

Over healings is the pure int ultimate killer skill lol(because of their low hp), or in other cases you can use overhealings when a pure str is gettin ganked by other people.. But remember, Clerics arent meant to pvp, they're a support class. But whenever you get attacked and your party is busy killing other people/mobs, use a couple of overhealings and you'll be fine. Now if that doesnt work, use offering/pure offering, and that's the end of the tell, lol.

Hope i helped.
