Because the game is boring when you can't do anything. And the reason for it being boring is unacceptable.

It should be obvious why I care so much.

Are you against the game being balanced or do you still not understand what the problems are?

As I said in my above post the game will become more balanced at later caps and euros wont dominate so much.

I have loads of fun pvping in battles. Course sometimes I get killed in 1 shot by some wizard in stealth, but whatever.
Try getting one-hit almost all the time.

I too think pvp is very fun, and just like euros and nukers can 1-2 hit me I can 1-2 hit them.

There is no law stating that u hav to pvp euros, u can pvp other Chinese.

+1 to Joymax.Im against it being balanced cause now Chinese players can bot all they want, get full sun (if even possible for mayority) and then get killed over and over again in capefights by well build euro's with +5 weapons or euros can own the fortress again und again like our good old friends on Venus did<3

i am pure str glavier80+cold80+ice60+fire80 - fullfarmed with glavie +9 , phy 100%, +5 set full blue...
killed from any rogue or wizzard on just one hit.........have no any chance to survive...
so i have made this char for 8 mounths , and the result is piece of shit.!!!!!

Repair the game

maybe you should start to learn how to use your skills instead of bitch about your own stupidity.
yes a wizard or rogue can 1 shot you if you are not prepared.
if you know there is a wizard or rogue you have enough skills to at least block their first attack if you can block their first hit then you can surely 1 shot them too

dude... rogue x-bow or dagger... with 75% damage increase and Crit (crit on daggers are much higher than other weapons)... those one-shots ppl like mad...

"and note: phy: 100%"... that means a "almost pure"... not PURE pure... so yeah... that can happen

ALSO: 1-shot a rogue/wizard? rogues have turbo and wizards have the equivalent of ghostwalk... and the rogues/wizards usually have bard as sub class... so they can run fast too... plus... THEY ARE INVISIBLE and CAN SHOOT YOU BEFORE YOU SEE THEM!!!

Btw... rogues are usually PURE STR... lol... 1 hit won't happen

also... go to youtube and search lv80 wizard... lol... check out how long a pure str Chinese bower took to kill a pure INT wizard (with Cleric buffs)

// MY BAD... EDITED: "pure str wizard" is a typo

well any int char can be extremely lethal when having cleric or warrior buffs.
there are ways to see invisible/stealth players
a simple wall can stop most of euro attacks.
a pure str rogue with their damage increase skill can be 1 nuked by same level farmed char or even lower level char.

if you are talking about job based pvp being ambushed by euros is a thing i fear the most, on each trade route there are certain ambush spots, make sure you scout them first.

the game is well balanced but i do have to agree in party play euro own china.

maybe some of you whiners about euro can learn from this

After months of research our results tell us :
China sucks at GW
China sucks at FW
China sucks at jobbing
China sucks at Unique Hunting

In all honesty i feel the Euro chars are way too powerfull compared to chinese chars. Ive seen an 80 Fully farmed Full Sun Glaiver get his ass raped by a euro wizard with +5 weaps thats pure bs. I would also like to say that the solo play is better for the chinese charecter argument is a load of crap, honestly who the hell plays sro for the solo play... its all just grinding over and over again, the quests are relitivly lame and uniques realy arent that fun after youve killed em a million times.

Im realy Realy REALY hoping JM balences thier shit out. Ive put too much into my 69 S/S hybrid to see it go to waste because it can not possibly hold up to a euro...

:banghead:

that same euro will get 1 shot by a 72 or lower level chinese if he does not have a second mastery or char helping, so yeah the game is balanced

I've seen each builds kill the **** out of other builds and get killed by others.
anything anyone will say can't make this game UNBALANCED, it's not even to the final cap ( and who knows when that'll be ). I've seen chinese spear tank 2handers, and get away with it.

FWX wrote:

wizards can 1-hit pure int Chinese nukers, and generally tend to do 1.5 times as much damage (or more) they can 2-hit a glaiver... you call that balanced?

A 2h was supposed to be equivalent to glaviers  come on who ever said that or thought that was true has to be smoking too much free air. Least the fact that they have pot delay, they only seem like it because of their attack rating. 2h has high crits, i'd say about 21+ if it's full crit on blade + passive. none are equivalent to each other, each race has disadvantages and advantages :(

FWX wrote:
Chinese characters (judging from design of pot delay) are supposed to be independent, self-sustaining characters... but the fact is, they AREN'T... and thus my reasoning that the game designers unfairly gimped half the players, and especially the legit players who don't bot. We don't have the time to begin from scratch and grind out another lv80.

The game was designed to be more of a party play, solo was way back when chinese was the only race. Sorry to say, but chinese ARE independent. I won't even go into saying much about it, but they are cuz euros specify on EACH dmg such as INT only characters. When chinese have Mag & Phy dmg on their weapons, it really depends on your game play ( let's say the player behind it ).

FWX wrote:
Also, where did I mention a chn/euro war? Its simply a comparison between the character classes. Honestly speaking, you can say all you want about team work, but there are plenty of times (job or fortress war - not to mention cape) when you have to face an opponent 1 on 1.

About wars so to speak, its WAR. everything goes, if you don't know what your enemies disadvantage then you fail as a team and fail your own guild/union.

i guess the makers of silkroad has us all tested if we're all lone wolves, or if some are willing to sacrifice their strength for some support for their team

theres no question that euro buffs are excessive in their power. and i think attacks that are made out of the invisible state should be greatly weakend. i mean a wiz who can go invisible and then 1shot anyone is rediculous. theres is absolutly nothing you can do to counter that.

you can have a warrior descry the field for you... a pill... there's just so many ways... everyone thinks of chinese vs euro all the time... sure they're different race... but that doesn't mean they can't work together... a fire user has fire combustion... ">>

but if it really IS euro against china, then i guess it's all about smart game play.

lol the game won't get balanced.
check out the euro skills, everytime you lvl something up from lets say 80 to 84, damage of the skill is greatly increased.

doesnt matter if euros can only lvl up skills 80, 84, 88 (3 times this cap or w/e), they gain so much power compared to chinese who can lvl up skills every 2 lvls.

in fact, i actually think it got more imbalanced.
flame body trial is still stuck at 9%.
force piercing force is only at 18% (wow 1% increase oh joy, not even worth it for str).
chinese have to basically drop a tree or leave two of them at lvl 60.
euro suns are dropping.
only bicheon gets a new useful skill (2nd double stab) and summit/depth is mainly for against chinese cuz with that thing on, a warrior just has an easier time killing you and it doesnt take much to kill a rogue anyway.
pacheon already got strongbow craft at 76 (at least they get a new antidevil at 90 right?)
heuksal already got soul spear emperor at 80.

and the list goes on.
where is the balance?
certainly not at the 90 cap

maybe at the 120 cap when euro skills get extremely outdated cuz of no new books, but with the dmg increase u get just from lvling them up who needs new books anyway?

I have a lvl 57 hybrid str chinese bow char in +4 full blue sos protector set and its really sad that a lvl 52 warrior can kill me with weapon switch and clerik buffs...
bless spell is basically god mode...
+ warrior has screens
+ damage return ( FOR 2H SWORD!!!!) i think it should be at 1H

He KDs me with 2H than switch to dual axe and hit me 4 (four) thimes with +50% dmg...
+crit...
+ 2H gets +crit from PASSIVE!!!!

.... Fck ...........?

BUT
In later levels, EU wont get any new skill, but chinese will !
And chinese armors wwill be far more powerful than now.
EU is very strong now only because their skills are designed to go until the final (150?) cap.

there is a euro vs chinese war going on? why was i not invited.

oh wait. both euro and chinese can pt and guild together.

its simple. if i have 3 hours to play each day i play a euro. i find a good pt and level really fast.

if i have 20 min to play before school, 10 min during computer class, 15 min after school, 30 min before dinner, an hour after dinner, and 20 min before bedtime, id play a chinese char. no euro pt will put up with that bs for long.

forming a euro pt that knows your play styal takes a long time. you need to get to know your pt members. if you are gone alot on trips and stuff, a euro wont ever work out for you.

when it comes to pvp, a euro warrior can buff a chinese archer, add some cleric buffs on top and the chinese archer is deadly while having the advantages of a euro party. with a few good crits the archer can kill even the best of tanks without dieing to any euro build due to tank buffs.

the good news: bots dont work in teams. they love solo. master team work and you will pwn 99% of all players on your server, euro or chinese.

dude... I was talking about PVP balance for ALL characters... try buffing up a Chinese Nuker at lv120 so that he/she stands a chance in pvp..lol...

300 skill cap is just... ridiculous!

Also, where did I mention a chn/euro war? Its simply a comparison between the character classes. Honestly speaking, you can say all you want about team work, but there are plenty of times (job or fortress war - not to mention cape) when you have to face an opponent 1 on 1.

2-handers kill Glaivers all the time... (and they are supposed to be equivalent to each other)
wizards can 1-hit pure int Chinese nukers, and generally tend to do 1.5 times as much damage (or more) they can 2-hit a glaiver... you call that balanced?

and then there's the rogue... the UNSTOPPABLE assasin... where do you find an equivalent to that? (this applies to all builds, but 2-handers can rush and wizards can go invisible, wut about the Chinese characters? Ever heard of a invisibility/stealth skill for the Chinese chars?)

Btw... bots don't work in teams when they bot... and you know how many Euro botters there are out there... EURO update did NOTHING to discourage bots

btw... you said a Euro would need to get to know his party members... and that players who have random playing schedules would play Chinese chars... so how does your idea of a Chinese char, all of a sudden, find a good Euro party so that they can buff him for pvp?

Chinese characters (judging from design of pot delay) are supposed to be independent, self-sustaining characters... but the fact is, they AREN'T... and thus my reasoning that the game designers unfairly gimped half the players, and especially the legit players who don't bot. We don't have the time to begin from scratch and grind out another lv80.

Fail!

I'm guessing you are nowhere near 90 cap.
All characters can loose/win vs each other period!

tbh chinese are more fun cause of more skills etc :) and euro are just stronger, im chinese myself to and i don't really like to fight against euro ppl, not cause i get ownd most of the time, just because the fights are like 1 to 3 hits and fight is over already, its just boring.

o and if euros were only allowed to have 1 mastery instead of 2 it would be alot more balanced.
