Hi everyone,

I've been away from Silkroad for a long time. I left due to being hacked after I had got to level 46 and finally got my SoSun level 8 bow for my new noob. I recently saw the new Private server, but to be truly honest it is a disgrace to the Silkroad community. However it has got me wanting to play Silkroad again. I was wondering what the state of Xian is? I still have my level 46 on there and some SoM gloves my friend gave me after the hacking. So it would be easier to start up again on there. Is it worth it though? Will I be able to ever login? Should I start from scratch on another server? Or are all servers basically impossible to login too?

If you are a botter, Xian is a haven. If you are legit, Xian blows.

Move to Venus and start there, lots of legits.

BH has also moved to Venus, as well as SD. Try SuicideGirl, Grace or Gooberonicus for BH and _Celsius_ or Bizzle for SD. Another guidl to try is Power, pm PowerfuIl. Those are all euro guilds though, if you are going Chinese try Asylum as we are primarily Chinese characters. PM Nogegon, Qi, Sanctified or Dhilleux for Asylum.

I keep messing up his name. There is a foum name on silkroad addiction, BattleDonut, and it screws me up.

Restart your computer, welcome back to the game: its great to see some old school players with an old school mentality (he called the private server a disgrace, you get 2 thumbs up!)

Caution, All servers suffer from heavy traffic, Odin having the least and (no surprise here) Xian having the most.
There are Three Servers that are predominantly dominated by Legits (In order of Creation) Odin, Venus, Hera.

Restart your computer, than click the .exe for SRO, it should take 1 second - 30 minutes for the installation to start. ( speed of installation and time taken to start installation may vary from computer to computer.)

After Full Installation, allow the Loader to update: after update wait 10 seconds for your computer to settle down ( time taken for a computer to settle down may vary due to RAM).

After Updates, restart your computer (properly) this is to allow Changes to be saved.

I am the sort of guy who brings punch to a kool-aid party. And here it comes. Nightbloom fly jay or anyone else who feeds you the "come to new_server_name_here. It is better." is doing one of two things to you. And that is decieving you and themselves or outright lying to you. The state of xian is the state/fate of all joymax run servers. And that state is farked. What is the real difference between the new and non new servers? Time. What happens to all the servers given time? How many times have people gone to new servers claiming that it will be better. And exactly how many times did that work out for them? What about the srf guild on hercules. Why could they not keep that server clean? Why do they think they can keep these servers clean? I really want to know. I mean no offense to those three as I still consider them friends etc. But seriously. Stop serving this new server kool-aid. The kool-aid is a lie.

Have you actually logged on Venus? See.. you are thinking of Xian and the other old servers. By the time there was a Venus, the population of SRO, even the botters, has been watered down. Each of the new servers have less and less of an actual population.

We are concentrating the legits on Venus. Sure it has botters, but ask anyone who spends time here if we have any of your lilazianboyz or ducks or other loud mouthed serial botters. They dont exist here. There is no glory or gain to being a bot on our server, too many legits and for a bot, its easier to go back to your last server or start on Hera than it is to fight us.

You are bitter about SRO and playing a new game. Enjoy it, but dont call me a liar cause you gave up and we didnt.

No other server has had as big of a anti-bot push. The difference between Xian and Venus is that every day 10 new bots start on xian to experiance the super bot vs bot pvp. They dont find xian messed up. THEY LOVE XIAN!! ZOMFG pvp action between botters everywhere! Whats not to hate in a server filled with people just like you enjoying themselves?

On venus, we have 10 bots quit every day. Bot pvp?? ROFL. When we see bot pvp, we buff our wizards, send them into the crowd, and spawn kill everyone till they call us **** and take off there cape! Why would anyone want to play on a server where everyone hates you and your kind? Where you cant ever get the fortress. You cant even teleport into the fortress area without dieing in 2 shots! On venus a legit takes 2-3 months to cap as a euro, a chinese bot takes longer! its total roflpwned in the face to the bots.

Botters are lazy people. They always take the easy road. That easy road is another bot friendly server like xian.

And this HAS been done before. Odin! We are the 2nd server to attempt it. Xian has you jaded. Close your eyes and take a leep of faith. I bet you my 50m on xian and my 1 sosun garment chest that I have on that server that if you are were to spend 2 weeks on venus you will love it. Ask Jay. He was hesitent at 1st. I told him, 2 weeks trial, dont quit xian just spend 2 weeks THEN make up your mind. 2 weeks later he is pming me in all caps going ZOMFG I LOVE THIS BUILD AND THIS SERVER!!!!111111oneoneone.

If 10 bots start on xian every day you can be sure 10 start o Venus just as well. You only have so many legits on each server, Sure Venus has alot, but theres still more bots comin in, and will be until its just like any other server, the only diff between Venus and Xian is the lack of suns, which is the same for the newer servers and the older ones cus joymax fked up the drop rate. You can stop bots by killing them when they cape lol, and theres nothin you can do to gold bots for sure.

since your girlfriend did not let you stay on venus long enough to see the state of its bot problem, i doubt you have any real time experiance to speak about how meny bots start here.

anyone with knowledge of the guilds on venus will tell you they are drying up. As guilds die, the left overs all pile in and join TheGrudge. Its 1 of 2 bot guilds with over 40 members. Every other big bot guild like WWRU has 14 members, Revo with 2 members, ArchAngels with 25 or so. I spent 2 years on xian, I can judge xian all day long with an experianced opinion. You spent 2 hours on venus before having to run off and buy tampons, dont tell me how meny bots start venus. I can go look at my jangan fortress tax money and make you a chart about how it goes down by 50m-100m per fotress war. Ask NIKE if there money goes down 3 years after the server opened and they will say Hell No! There Jangan Bots are still going strong.

Now if anyone with time and experiance with both Xian AND Venus wants to share, ill be more then happy to listen to there experianced argument.


PS: went to find yarken today. counted 8 bots total in the snipers. yeah.... roflpwned in the face.

Anyway, even though there is a lot of bots, If you have friends and a decent level character on Xian already it's probably the better choice. I find it to be a fun server but it is horribly dominated by bots.

Your not on Xian anymore, wut makes you think you can talk about it then? Because its silkroad, and run by joymax, Just give it time, you can and hope all you want, if its not full of bots yet, it will be, venus isnt special, theres nothin diff about it, your not special, you don't make the server bot free lol.

Bottom line = unless joymax does something bout bots, venus = botroad just like ever other server, you cant stop bots, fly, just like you oculdn't on Xian.

And you guys need to get over it, I stayed on Xian cus I I didn't wanna switch servers with you guys, why do I need to? Whats the problem, I didn't wanna go, not everyone has to do what you want or think is best, I never wanted to go in the first place, you don't know wth ur talkin about, you act like you guys can't accept the fact I didn't wanna go with you.

wtf are you blaming me for? I told Jackal if he wanted to go to Venus I would gladly go with him. I was even getting ready to buy him silk. You KNOW I tried to get him to go. Everyday I told him to get on vent because "Avalon is gonna blame me, just watch" and sure enough, Avalon is blaming me, like nightbloom said to me in pm lol If you need someone to blame, blame yourself for just ditching him. It's sad that you can't just be happy that he's happy.

P.S. Don't forget about pig_stilker, who's also in Kokiri on Xian, or have you already? He and his wife are having a baby in 6 months, I hope you don't blame me for "not letting him go to Venus" too.

Lol venus is just like all the other servers.. Just because it has a few legit guilds/unions, doesnt mean its awesome and bot-free

I did say no from the beginning, but you guys kept pushing it, and comin on Xian offering sun items, and billion gold to go on venus for a while. And you are blaming "since your gf didn't let you stay" thats saying its her fault I didn't go, which its not.

my point was, 2 hours on venus gets u nowhere. next time someone states a fact, like that venus is loseing bots at a fast rate, dont debate it without real evidence to state its not true. when you do that, it would seem like your the one trying to discorage the growth of legit venus because your bitter about not being here. which brings me back to my 1st point. you were not allowed to stay for reasons that I dont have the right to debate. i may not agree with them, but they are valid to sacchin and im fine with that.

That is actually one of the bigger reasons I play SRO less these days. The bots I lived with for years. It was the whole point that the community was dying/dead.

I love SRO. I am bitter about joymin. If I started SRO actively again I would probably go cSRO. Simply because those little commies seem to care more.

It's silkroad, you don't need to play a server to know whats happening, i'm not trying to stop "legit growth" but its still full and crowded every day just like every other server, and i'm pretty sure thats not from legits. Just sayin venus isn't Special, its got the same bots just like any other server.

And bout that ss I find it unsettling, I thought you guys were friends, but just cus I didn't goto the server with you, you blame Sacch for it and get all hateful bout it? It was my choice, blame me. I really didn't think not going to venus would make much of a diff like that.
