Hmmmmmmm somehow I still don't like the sounds of that prospect. Remember what you and bloom always said about the bot police? It is all good for now but you must be forever vigilant. And frankly that is not my style. I know that in the process innocents always find themselves in the way. So I cannot in good concience do it.


Tried it. I didn't make a splash or call up old friends etc. Sure I could do that and hop in to those circles and find myself insulated from the reality for a bit. It would be cool and we could all talk about old times. Times that will never come back. But I thought what better way to feel a server than to be a nobody on it. Just like when it all began. Same old gold bots. Same lack of triangular conflict. To me that spelled same shit different server. To me the jobbing and showing up of the bots was the fun. That I could do it all myself and still be better.

Nah I am not really that jaded nor do I miss it that much apart from some of the people. I am running a guild also called blackhand here on Perfect World's Oracle server with a few former Xian blackhand members. We are only lvl 2 but already 100 members strong soon to be 200. But even now it is not unusual to get on and find 25 or so people playing in guild at any time. It even surprises me sometimes. And the fact that several are of decent level as well. Bosses or dungeons there is almost always something going on. And soon we will start guild and territory wars. The game is so well made and run it is day to joymax's perpetual night on SRO. It is everything SRO never was but should have been. Even as I type this a high lvl player just got permanently banned for botting and had it announced in GM server chat. They only do it for player bots. A special honor.

Venus is losing bots every day. I believe that.

But the fact is I think every server is losing bots every day.

For example 3 months ago if i went to takla snipers/hunters all I would see was player bots everywhere. Now if i go there it has almost half the player bots and heaps more gold bots. Yeh level 80 gold bots woot woot.

The simple truth is that there are less and less player bots every day on all servers.

P.S. if you are the fortress owners a simple way to increase your income is to set up gold bot stops at dw. spend a lot of time killing those dw gold bots with elec thieves and suddely you will see an influx of new jangan bots and your fort revenue will increase

P.S. DarkJackal is happy where he is, Fly is happy where he is... why the argument?

OP... you might wanna think twice about going to Venus.. you can see in this thread itself how much drama goes on there... Reason being is alot of them don't play this game for fun, they play because it's their life.

I play at Xian and was hacked as well when i'm at my lvl74 i stop play this char and start new 1 but i still stay at xian cuz all my friends are here i tot of move to other server but thinking of being alone at new server so i quit that idea.
Yes we all know that bots are owned xian and so other server as long that we buying gold they (bots) will be there.
U can't make enuf gold if u don't buy or bot. is business game not entertainment anymore
So where ever u go bots will be there wait for u.

If u go to DW, u'll see there are as much bots as other servers. 4-5 bots with sos ks each other... And there are more green dots than red dots in the mini-map...

If only you put your mind on making money -_- its so easy, if i sold everything i would have about 1bil, legitly while i havent been higher then 69. I have everything i need except for sun/som gear

EDIT: It's still amazing if you walk around the cave in Xian there are so many legits, they talk back, nontheless in their own language.
But lvl80 gold bots go rampant in taklamakan together with all the other botters there.

Still proud to say we have a new legit lvl80 in our guild as of last sunday

Ive played on Xian for years. I loved it. I made a ton of friends, joined the best guild on the server (dE ftw) till it died. dE died because of bots. My friends started botting. Full sun bots killed all the chinese, then botted wizards killed the suns. Couldnt log on for hours without a ticket. Everything went downhill... I eventually lost hope.

Decided to give Venus a try. Ive partied with Fly and associated with some other TE on Xian. Heard great things about Avalon. So I tried it... at first I was skeptical... not because of Venus having bots, but because I was so behind everyone in level I was afraid I couldnt catch up. I soloed untill about lvl 20. That was about a month ago maybe?... now Im 63. Bots arent a problem like they were in Xian. If me and my party want a Yacha room, we take it from the bots. There are no NIKEs, there are no Triadz or Highrollerz. There is 1 main bot guild (TheGrudge) and they dont stand a chance in any sort of confrontation.

So coming from someone who HAS played both servers to the fullest, yes. Venus is better. Its brought fun and hope back into SRO for me. And I 100% believe it will stay that way so long as there are people willing to fight for it.

The above is a general statement. Not directed toward anyone in specific. I <3 Avalon, DJ, Sacchin, Srf. STOP THE HATE. Im done now.

Im sure Jhawk isnt naive enough to think there are no bots on Venus. But come on guys why do u guys flame Avalon when they are jus stating that they have a larger then average legit community. If ppl like Jhawk are gettin back into the game shouldnt he join a better community? Venus FTW:P

I think I'll fly low on Silkroad for a while as I don't really have the time to powerlevel up to everyone else or keep on the same leveling scheme as most.
Going to go Euro as I've only played with a euro character on JSro.

Eh from what I've seen from the forums and etc. Venus won't maintain it's semi-bot free status for long I'm sorry but that's the cold hard truth and it sucks. Because once botters realize that Venus is openish you will see a flood of gold bots :| You can't do anything about that. Time either ruins/fixes everything and in SRO's case. It ruins

Yeah venus has gold bots like every other server. It is for now just the player bots they have managed to keep low. But they will not be able to keep that up forever or even the rest of the year. And in the end I had long ago learned to live with the bots. Half of the fun as I said was showing them up and the lively job environment. I mean you used to have to go unseen to make any trade run. Now even on venus you have to make big noise to draw some attention in hopes someone will try to attack the trade run. Even if they were player bots you were up against it was still more fun. So ok you are keeping the player bot population down. And they do need to be banned. But the bigger problem has long been gold bots and you can't impact that. Only joymax can. And they don't want to.

Apart from missing some of the people still addicted to Silkroad I am much happier with my new game choice that I had been with SRO for a long time.

I have the original silkroad download but that don't work. I also have the download of the Silkroad web page ( 8 I believe ) but that says it's an invalid client! This is becoming stupid
