I take off my shoes, mostly because it's annoying to wear shoes though.

It's not a good idea to be a cleanfreak or wash your hands too much. When you wash your hands you kill alot of germs, but the strongest ones live and multiply, so by washing your hands you're just helping germs evolve so they're stronger.
Also, don't wash your hands after going to a public bathroom unless it's infrared, because if you have to touch anything, don't do it. You pick up the germs, wash your hands killing the weak ones, you keep the strong ones, you then turn off the water and the strong germs go on the handle. Keep in mind loads of people did this before you, so you're just getting yourself into a goddamned germ war zone.
Just use like hand sanitizer or something if you have it, if you don't, then just don't touch anything, if you only touch yourself you should still be clean...
