Americas been practicing large scale socialism since the 1950's and no president has done away with it yet....

Nah, unless something drastic happens that changes the masses minds the only way you're going to get rid of the high amounts of govt control is secession. Trying to change the system from within will only alter or slowdown its course, not reverse or stop it.
