Yea, I was wondering why a chinese PURE STR bower wouldn't be good in a Euro pt.
I mean they can stand near the warrior and lure mobs to the warrior and even himself to tank, while the wizards and healers are back there doing what they are supposed to be doing.

Bowers have fast attacks such the arrow combos and also have range.

Also take into consideration that the bower will probably not need the healer to heal him (because no pot delay), and so the healer can concentrate on healing the warrior/s.

So wouldn't a bower be somewhat benefitial to the euro pt?

well if it is a full str bower (which they usually are) they can lure and tank and take advantage of their range...^^

if the warrior that is tanking puts protect on you, a warrior buff. so the aggroed mobs go directly from you to him then yea a chinese bower is fine in a party.

However, technically any build can do this not just bowers as long as they have a ranged attack, technically rogues would be more efficient, especially after level 60.

Also technically a good euro party, a full one like the one's on a few servers is something like this.

2 Warriors (1 luring + 1 tanking or both luring)

3 wizards (damage

1 cleric (heal

2 bards (damage absorption + extra damage (at level 80 34% extra damage or more i forget, so it's like 1 more wizard in the party)

so as you can see the warrior does this "luring" job and there really isn't a slot for a chinese bow to squeeze in. But 9/10 times you won't have a perfect party and in a case where you only have 1 tank you do need a lurer with protect on, or at least it is possible to play using this technique.

phew..... so err they wouldn't be good they'd be ok, is what i'm trying to say. then again it all depends on the person behind the character there are undoubtedly some very skilled bowers out there that are talented at doing their part in a euro party and are very useful while others are well... retarded.

Im sure its good for you but it really takes away from the party for instance you could have another bard or warrior or something better.

I'm not sure of the lvls the people were at, but this pt used a chinese (the bow) for something good

Most euros dont want a chinese in the party because in shared parties euros actually have somekinda of "exp bonus" when you get a party with 7 euro 1 chinese your exp will be less then a party with 8 euros.
Also for every chinese build there is an euro replacement

For example chinese bower as lurer, imo Crossbow rogue does the job better just turn off Crossbow Extreme and use Rapid shot/fast shot to lure those skills have bigger range then any chinese skills.

The only chinese we used to let in our parties were friends who were nukers or other legits with SoSun spear/sword so they come close to a wizards damage.

Any kind of chinese would just slow a euro party down. Any euro 72+ in a general party would outdo ANY chinese at any level in grinding/killing speed.

i dont think thats true.

chinese nuker can never get near the dmg of a euro wiz with life control (same lvl, same kinda weapon).
