i got em. finally.

still damn happy with my glasses, cause they take up so little of my time
in the morning, but i was just looking in the mirror the other day when i
woke up, and found myself rather good looking without the glasses <.<

still, lenses suck in time it takes to make your eyes get used to em.
atm, i'm like.. o, i thought i had trouble reading WITHOUT lenses. i'm
having more trouble reading now than i had before i even wore glasses -.-

soooo, reason for my topic, except letting people know i got lenses while
most don't even care about that, is that i'd like to ask for a couple of
tips. like i heard, with hard lenses it's easy to lose them. anybody here
has hard lenses and ever lost one? cause my mom sais that in 30 years she
lost just one of em cause she was being stupid. and an other thing i heard
is that it's harder for my eyes to get used to my glasses when i'm not
wearing my lenses. like, i'll be having trouble focussing.

anyone here who can give me some info on it? tyvm <3

Well, I never had them, but a friend of me says that you best keep it in a little special box, so you can't lose them.

ur eyes takes a few days to get used to not having to focus as much through ur glasses. after that, ur eyes naturally take in the contacts no prob.

When I first got mine I was told to slowly increase the time I wore them by like an hour everyday. So for example if I only wore them for 4 hours the first day next day I would try 5 etc etc. Eventually you'll be able to wear them all day without irritation.

lol, not really true but ok. I wear soft lenses, and if they're anything like hard lenses (other than the normal differences of conforming) the only thing you'll notice when you wear your glasses again is that the side vision will be blurry and things will look a little more magnified than you remembered. This can cause headaches, but usually after about 15 minutes you wont even notice. After a month of switching back and forth, you'll never notice.

I believe hard lenses aren't too easy to lose; just keep em in a safe place when you're wearing glasses.

EDIT: If they sting, remove them and wait a bit. The pain is an obvious trigger something's wrong (either something on the contact or your eye is irritated). Don't leave em in just to brave it out.

don't worry, they won't.

i swimmed a lot with my lenses, never lost them.

but you do have to look out for the wind, cuz the wind dries out your eyes and that way they'll fall out of your eyes.

bu aren't you 18+? i suggest you laser your eyes. one treatment and you're done for a lifetime.

i can't do it right now:(, you have to be 18+.

one more year :D

try and ignore them if they burn a little, that's just normal. but if it seems serious- get it checked out (might've scratched something). and if they fallout or something; DON'T put them under water, get it in some solution or just put it on you tongue for a few secs. :P

it will cost you some money, but in the end it will be cheaper.

think of all the years yet to come. you will pay a fortune on lenses and glasses.

and lasering is now 99,99999999% safe.

there is almost no chance of something going wrong.

yup, but don't forget that lenses make your sight worse.

with glasses i had like -2, now i wear lenses for a year and a half and i have like -3 now.

the worse your eyes, the more lasering will cost.

-3 is like €800-1000 per eye

not necessarly true that they will get worse, just depends on how you take care of them.

NOOONONONONONO ... NO!!! BIG NO!!!!
Where do you live? Lasering is BIG NO!! I wanted to do it too ... I asked my doctor about it ... She said that that is the worst thing you could ever do ... BIG NO ... she wouldnt do that to dog ... Seriously ... She says that it holds on for 4 years ... and that after that you cant do it again .. coz it burns your pupil , and since the eyes have no artery in them, they cant recovery themself , so your eye will deny lenses later on ... It holds on for 4 years only then you're screwed (and you cant go on another surgery) ... My mom's boss (female) , her husband had that more polyclinics in Germany , and they were all closed , because people law-suit them and reimbursement were too high ...

^Thats what I remembered what my doctor said to me ... she started to shout on me when I asked about laser surgery ... so ...

dude, you're scaring me:(

i live in Holland, my doctor recommended it to me.

I was interested in Optical Express, they're quite known for eye-lasering in Europe.

but ofcourse i'll gather more information before i'll do anything.

My next door neighbor got that laser surgery about 4-5 years ago. He said it was the best decision he ever made. It was a little pricey, but your eyesight is worth the money. He doesn't have to wear glasses or contacts now.

I agree with Nitro, laser treatment can have some bad long term effects. Best to see your doctor first

Laser is dangerous if u ll have any operation about ur eyes in future. How about using night&day(1 month)soft lenses?I advise Bousch&Lomb one is the best.

My mother had laser surgery quite a few years ago and she still sees fine.

I'm happy with my glasses. I wore contacts for a while but they kept irritating my eyes.

lasering your eye now is almost 100% safe.

but it is so tempting, i mean it would be super if i could get lost of all those glasses and contacts. it really would be nice.

Yup, either something is on the lense or something is wrong with the lense.
