If you can do 50 reps you are lifting too little of weight.

That's what I was gonna say :P
I don't use dumbells, but I have a curling bar. and do around 15 curls
When I bench I do as much As I am able to do atleast 10 reps a set then if I can do 15, I move up the weight.

That's overdoing it. Your not suppose to burn yourself out. At my Pace, I can Work out every single day without getting sore, but still make massive progress. When you start to feel a good burn, do 5 more reps. Anymore and you will pull some very painful muscles to sleep on.

it all depends on what kind of muscular strengh you desire. If you want muscular stamina do alot of reps of lower weight. but if you want to increase the raw power of your mucles then lift small amounts of heavy wieghts. either way after a good workout of any kind you should feel drained and sore.

That's funny, I don't get sore and I still notice mass increase. You don't have to be sore after an effective workout. I only got sore after I first started lifting which was probably 10th grade.

Basically he means Do both. Tone requires less weight, size requires more weight.

Look at my post, it was after Qosta's post so it was in response to his post saying "either way after a good workout of any kind you should feel drained and sore.". Did you even read Qosta's post before you looked at mine? You fail.

thats what my arms feel like..as if they have just increased in size. Then it goes away after 10 min. In the next morning after I workout, its a little sore but thats it.

and right now I'm doing 25 lbs on each arm, 10 times at once. Then I rest and repeat the process like 4 times more, is that good

I'm in no position to give any training advice. I'll just tell you what I do. I can't get a good burn with 10 reps. I like to get at least 12-15 reps in each set. I can't feel much after 4 sets either, doesn't burn even if I increase the weight. This is just me though.

Didn't I quote the post your talking about :? Wasn't trying to be rude if that's the impression you got, was just saying that if you get sore every single day you workout then you won't be able to do it as much as you need to keep a steady rhythm. I quoted Qosata's post to try and dum it down for the people that wouldn't understand it.
