I have just started playing this game and from what I seen is that you can only keep your main character on one server only. The server I chose was Alps (Couldn't resist, it said new!) and then it worked smoothly for a while after that.

Though, yestarday and today, I've been disconnected numerous times on Alps, and its really getting on my frickin' nerves. I took some pics to show you all the pain of disconnection!



Silkroad takes a good bit of time to load, I would say it takes about 1.5 minutes to get to the login screen.



Peacefully logging in... (which takes about 10 Seconds)



DISCONNECTED BY SERVER. TIME TO CLOSE THE PROGRAM FOR NO REASON - HAVE A NICE DAY. ZOMG O NOES~!!!!!

Of course, the program forcefully closes (takes a good minute) And then, it usually repeats this until god knows when... (Multiple painful trys until it finally works)

BUT WAIT

It doesn't end there. The pain continues in a even more terrible way which wastes even more of my time!

I start up, login, but I don't get disconnected there...



Ah, everything seems good so far. So i'll choose my character...


Then I click Start, and the nearly 1-2 minute load begins! @_@



NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! This downright sucks Is this just the Alps server or what? Both of my friends have gotten this insane disconnection problem, is there anything we can do about it?

i got same problem, but not ingame (very rae, just happened twice edit: 6 times ...and i must say that the login disconnection is more comfortable than the directly after login ingame disconection)

it wouldnt be soo bad if u cant connect immediatly to the servers, but my client shuts down if i cant connect.... this suxs cause my pc isnt the fastest...
if there just pop a dialog saying: "server is crowded try again later" and DOESNT shut down the whole client, but guide u to the server list or back to the login screen...

this is what i think the silkroader should look forward to improve.

or after loging in, ur server "place" is reserved, exapmle:

max. player quote: 500 people
current player quote: 500 people

player 1 wants to connect
player 2 wants to connect (some time after)

theyr on the waiting list

--> current player quota: 499 --> player 1 gets connected

PS 2:

and this waiting list would improve the server trafiic, i think.
because there wouldnt be 20 ppl trying to connect to the server all the time, which increases the server traffic and may cause laggs.

ya disconnecting teh suxx0r i was reading on a forum this guy would scream every time he logged in because he was so happy LOL

lol, i realy danced when i got jesterday finally logged in... i got realy araound 12-15 disconnections (ingame, just after login)....
i was trying 1 hour and 20 minutes...but just could play for 30 miinutes then....

I keep getting the second error you mentioned. The one after you log in and it disconnects... God... There is always a fken error with this game..

Cosh, I get your point. But still, I sign in and load the game as fast as humanly possible so I should be in in no time.



Yeah. I only get the first disconnection error rarely, the 2nd one happens to the most. Hell it happened twice to me today!

I was thinking of ways to solve this problem and I started to think of the old problem in Gunz The Duel. You would never know when there servers were open or full until they added a thing that showed you if a server was full or not but showing the number of people in it now it updates every other second and shows the max number of people a server can handle Example 1426/2000. If Silkroad had one of these it could end this annoying problem. And Silkroad should reserve you a spot in the server when the you sign in as well

Of course most developers never listen to there users so its probably a lost cause anyway.

In the future, it might be wise not to post images of your account name, especially if you had characters that looked like they would be worth "taking". Not that yours do, but no need to give out the extra info

As for Alps, I rarely get D/C's, only had 1 or 2 shortly after the patch was applied Tuesday. Ever since I have not had any problems. Not sure what it is, are you trying at times of high traffic or low peak times?
