And yes, it would look funny with a warrior wearing robe.
Theres an equal amount of warriors wearing heavy armor and robe on my server. The people in heavy usually get owned by ints if they can't kill them first, the robe doesn't have much trouble against ints for obvious reasons.. and strs don't do massive damage, so they can tank it. I'm going robe on my warrior, btw.
Robes for warrior makes the same sense as garments for full STR Chinese.
Considering that enemy attacks appear to grow more mixed in nature (both physical and magical) I'd chose depending on your needs:
Robes: More magical defense (like garments for full STR Chinese), 20% movement increase, 20% less MP usage (you lack MP anyway), and passive bonuses to healing (including recovery division).
Light armor: 10% movement increase, 10% less MP usage, passive bonuses to INT/STR buffs (for when you are acting as party buffer) and passive bonuses to phy/mag buffs (for party members, even if you're acting as warrior).
Personally I'd go for light armor.

light armor good physically and magically.. since u actually need to tank both rogues and wizards/nukers. also passives offered from cleric sub are priceless.. while in the cooldown period of ur skins/bless, switching to cleric will make u stay invincible for whatever time u need for the cooldown to end. finally the extra 10% moving speed , and the reduced mana consuption do come in handy for obvious reasons.
lmfao. a robe wearing str warrior. How noobish e.e
lmfao. A Garment wearing str Glavier. How noobish e.e
For leveling, it is Heavy armor. But for Pvp you should go for either robe or Light Armor. I went for Light Armor because I like to annoy people using the charity passives.

Good point, cleric passive skills are only available if you use light armor. So if you are warrior/cleric you should wear light armor.
depends on how you play. Heavy Armor if you do long party grinds, heavy armor is best till you hit roc mountain. Pro
highest base durability (dura goes down fast even with 120)
efficient spawns are all phy based
Con
low mag defense but it shouldn't matter if you're into the grind scene
on servers without suns, heavy armor will do fine in pvp
Light Armor my recommendation as an 8D 9D set Pro
best for pvp/ 90 cap because of its balanced phy/mag defense
isn't too lacking durability wise for decent grinds (i keep two sets when i grind)
with wizards and rogues running around, being prepared for both situations in large scale pvp is best
roc mountain mobs are mag/phy
Con
looks like something a two year old would wear
i wear chest/legs HA and the rest LA for that reason
Robe not recommended for party players Pro
very high mag defense fantastic against ints
20% extra speed, 20% mp reduction on skills so you can cast those costly cleric skills
Recommend for the solo players who like to cape
Con
extremely low durability
very hard to party grind with unless it's pimped or you're grinding on low mobs (withing 5 levels of your level)
very low phy defense, even with your amazing strength with the number of rogues and other str characters running around it's not something to be taken so lightly
It's late i don't feel like listing every little aspect about each type of armor and its benefits. my suggestion: if you can't decide stick with heavy armor till you can try them out for yourself, if you like robe go robe, if you like LA go LA.
@Ploxy heavy armor can tank nukes with buffs, if you have a bard putting up a nice 36% magic damage reduction all the better. if you want to own wizzies and ints solo style by all means take robe, one of my friends does awesome against ints with robe @Mousetrap i suggest you don't underestimate str characters you're asking for a beat down @ahmedsabry I'm not sure how long you hold onto your rod in a pvp, but if it's long enough that you're relying on its passives, it's too long. for abs damage yea occasionally. @Ploxy again light armor is for everyone @Ciko1984 it doesn't end in 45 seconds
about the cleric sub thing +1 to what "-.-" said.
this is all imo.

glory armour or w/e the passive is called this reason > any other reasons in this whole discussion assuming u hv cleric sub
i prefer unique-ness, so robe ftw but actually heavy armour would be more wise the builds u are fighting:
the number of warlock main are v few in number, and s/s & spear nukers use alot weapon skills too, so u wearing robe juz for wiz and some occasional nukes fr chinese nukers
so 5 str builds vs 3 int builds, u choose but i still prefer robe myself

Isn't a 2h warrior in robes, similar to a glavier in garms?, just with a better attack power and pot delay?. I like both, but it does suit a warrior to have heavy armour... think of 9D and how cool that set looks
and the cleric defence passives only work when u have both light armour and a cleric rod equiped, as ur goin to pvp with your warrrior weapon, these are useless.

it isnt useless if ur bless/skins are all in cd, and u are low on hp u need to turn to cleric and start healing urself, so def passive protect u better in that way
btw, a pure str cleric in light armour is the most unbeatable support build, try to kill him and u will fail miserably its the best support cleric in fw/gw/jobwars
