I was wondering who all was playing or know of full bards on their servers, and what level are they? I know a couple of high level STR builds with bard sub, but very few full bards on Troy. Today was the first time I was able to play bard in a shared party (people usually want me for my clerical abilities, but luckily this time we already had 2 clerics), and I enjoyed the hell out of it.

_MoQin_, one of my unionmates is fully bard, lvl 80 and capped and already farmed for 90. I like her game style, she knows her work and we all love how supportive she is in a party.

On Xian __Eric__ from Kokiri is a bard no sub lvl 73+ last I saw. _FireMoon_ my wiz/bard been working on the bard skills starting to lvl up the attacks its just too boring doing mana cycle and not attacking but compared to some of the others bard subs I am the most active.

Lvl 71 (almost 72) pure int farmed bard/cleric Have enough clerics available so I play bard most of the time. And love it. Get in a good party where everybody does their jobs, get the rhythm right and you can dance, heal mp AND attack. I love ks'ing the last hit on the mobs from the wizards. Sorry guys. (but not really) PPC crew

I have one that is lvl 41, but I'm putting it on hold for a while because I don't really see many other bards. What's a bard worth if it can't use the dancing series.

Lvl 72 Full Bard, always a blast, Zerk Bard FTW. Fast bugger too with Swing March.
I know of a couple of lvl 7x and 80 Bards on our server, we've always got a dance going and with guard tambour and hit march, makes the party very effective.
The other great thing about bard, like a cleric, you can usually get into higher lvl parties because they aren't relying on you to take or deal damage so you don't have to be high, you just have to be high enough to keep MP up.

That's bull for Troy. No one cares about bards in their party until they realize the true effect of them each time. They prefer 1 cleric with str/int and bless instead of two 80 bards. You don't have to be 'high' to keep the mp up. Sit down or use pots. Don't use a dance/tambour at once if you cannot keep up with the 15 sec pot heal. As being pure str I can handle both(max at 80) in armor. It isn't hard to do since the mp bonus with harp.

I am a lvl 71 Bard with a crappy warlock sub-class. I pretty much only Bard. And I have most of the bard skills, but I have concentrated on just the main skills I need to properly support a great party. I love being a bard. Sometimes I wish I could have higher attack skills, so if you are worried about being a "fighter" don't go with bard. Bards are lovers....what can I say! lol

That's been my experience as well. On Troy it's rare enough to even see a bard (I've seen one so far, other than myself), let alone 2, and when one's accepted into a party it's usually to play his/her alternative class (often cleric). As far as I can tell, the damage output per second of a bard is quite good, while his buffs are simply amazing. As far Euro parties needing a bard: Euro parties? On Troy? Perhaps one or two are around, and usually not at the hours I play. I'm expecting things will change at the 90 cap though; bards will become more needed, and thus more popular.

Not ganna change. It's ganna go with the normal trend of 2h/cleric. A few wizards popping out and the typical outside ressers that are just outressers and str/int.

Bards are actually decent support damage dealers as well. Fast, semi-powerfull attacks can be the last thing that wipes an opponent out. Party wise good for MP'ing clerics or wizards. Pure bard FTW, my friend bad_buffer from greece was one, as well as AngelEyes from venus. Guardia was a pure bard but got wiz when we had a lack of wizards i believe.

I always think of bard as a sub class...it gets pretty boring after a while if u r just a pure bard.

VersaLicious wrote: I always think of bard as a sub class...it gets pretty boring after a while if u r just a pure bard. Actually, the bardic attacks are pretty good: a bard gets several nuke like attacks, including ones with penetration and all around. They may not be powerful per hit, but they execute very quickly, giving the bard a very nice damage/second output. The buffs are amazing, but the best of those are not very practical in solo play, since they disappear when you get hit too often. Moving march and noise however are always very handy, and mana cycle makes sure you won't have to worry about MP pots. Combine bard with cleric, and you'll hardly ever be using any kind of pots (or pills for that matter). Playing bard/cleric saves you a lot of gold (my lvl 80 nuker blasts through about 1M in pots per hour), while giving you a very solid nuker build with amazing buffs. Perhaps not the best 1vs1 pvp build, but for grinding and party play the bard is very very nice.
