ok hmm all the worlds scientists say the water will rise right? well lets think ice is made up of water and air so hmm and the ice chuncks are mostly underwater so when they melt the air will leave leaving only the water right?
example
take a cup of ice and fill it with water let it sit for 3 hours and watch how the ice melts and the water level LOWERS so tell me what will happen to our oceans?

There's alot of ice that is not in or on water, alot of it is on land. Just because you had an experiment in school doesnt mean your an expert.

so the ammount of ice that isnt in the water or on land would have to be 30% of all the ice in the world for the water to even start rising and there isnt that much ice that isnt in water so how is the water gona rise if there isnt enough ice to make it rise?

omg. global warming was made up. dont buy into it.
Fail. Nice try at being different.
Anyone who makes that claim is ignorant, and never taken seriously by anyone. The debate is not on whether or not the planet is warming, it is: it's quantitative, just fucking measure the annual temperatures. I'm sure that since they're going up, it literally means the planet is getting warmer. The debate is on whether or not the warming is caused by humans, antrophogenic global warming. That's why people say "it's the earth's natural warming/cooling cycle".
Even worse than you are idiots who claim global warming is made up, and that it's just the earth that's naturally warming up - GG fail @ argumentation.

For some people that's the best they can do.
Someone who thinks they know something is much worse than someone who either doesn't know or admits they only know a little.
I applaud anyone who is trying to improve their education to better their lives or simply for the pursuit of knowledge. However, people also need to recognize that they do not and cannot know enough about everything to talk authoritatively about it. It's ok to take a stance, but you need to be willing to recognize when you're wrong and be able to analyze multiple viewpoints and be critical of your own.
(This all coming from someone who at one point thought I knew everything, boy I was a retard back then).

What goes up must come down If it does evapore then the water cycle will act...(u must know it or else...) it will eventually be a storm and all the water will come down again

You fool!
Stop renting out the teletubies at your blockbuster and get Al Gore's documentary called 'An Inconvenient Truth' it will tell you all you need to know about the water rise and global warming.

Naw, not "fail".
This is 'old' information and I'm certain that we know more than we did in 1989, but who has ever said it better than one of my heroes, Issac Asimov?? This from about 20 years ago, way before everybody was talking 'bout it. Code: Select all
It's a long speech and good ol' Issac goes off on a tangent (you can click him off at frame 4:00) when he speaks about the boy who wrote, "Who gave the United State the right to tell Brazil what to do?". It's almost all 1989 style rhetoric from there on out but click off is easy enuf.
Issac Asimov spoke of the "Greenhouse Effect" and another one of my 'heroes' balances the view, cautioning us to raise a skeptical eye to those with political motive when they speak about 'causes'. Read (if you are interested) from Phil Plait, The Bad Astronomer: Is Global Warming Solar Induced?
Alistair B. Fraser the "Bad Meteorologist" also balances the information with his comments about "The Greenhouse Effect"
Quote:
First,
Let’s get one thing straight.
The greenhouse effect and global warming ARE NOT the same thing.
There is a greenhouse effect, but, if there were not, we would all be dead!
It is becoming increasingly clear that we are also experencing global warming, but, that is a different matter.

It wont be as catastrophic as dom drew, the main problem will be the temperature not the water rising (which will be gradual). People wont sit around with their ankles in water and wait until they drown :S
