Do you really want to run this program I just asked you wanted to run? Are you sure? Now I read there is a way I can disable this shit, but fighting my way through countless of such pop ups I sorta gave up. WHERE IS IT? Where is the damn option to remove these blasted pop ups. I have been accepting these shit notifications since day one and I just can't Farking take it any more. AHHHHHRGGGGG /slits wrists [//_-]

I find it ironic that something that's supposed to make vista more secure probably makes it less secure.
Most users probably just click yes over and over again like a zombie whereas a user who paid attention could help prevent problems to their system.
However, Microsoft definitely went the wrong way in trying to make things more secure. Should've made a more user-friendly method the default with the other available for more advanced users.
As for disabling it, just try google.

Yeah you can turn them off. Not on my work laptop atm, but I think it's somewhere under accessibility.

I going to assume you mean Users Account Control(UAC). Bring up the run menu. Type "msconfig" click ok and go to the tools tab. Look for "Disable UAC" and click launch. Wait until it is done processing then hit apply and restart your comp.
EDIT: You may not have Vista set to show the Run menu in your start menu... Bring up the Control Panel, go to User Accounts, and then click add or remove user accounts. Click "Go to the main User Account page." Next, click "Turn User Account Control on or off." Uncheck the box and hit ok.

Alternatively, you can go to control panel, make sure it's not on classic view, and just type UAC in the search field. It's the only option that comes up.

But I thought server pack 1 for Vista solved much of that UAC shit Pretty sure it did. One of the computers in my house has Vista on it... hasn't had one of those messages come up since its been used, without modifying any settings.

Vista isn't bad once you turn off all the unnecessary features. Well if you don't got more than 2GB of ram you might want to stick with XP.

As for disabling it, just try google. Very good point, it's true. I've got vista now since i got my new comp a week ago, i love it so far but that little thing is kind of annoying, yes.

Going to the control panel and then entering 'UAC' lets you turn it off. No clue where I could've found it otherwise.
Thanks a lot guys.
