a film that the main character went to the past to change his life or events in the present, going through time, or smt like that... Any suggestion for a film like that?

It's slightly off by what you requested, but the series "Quantum Leap" is similiar. He goes around through time and solves "problems" in order to make a "leap" or jump. He hopes that after solving the problem of the past, that his next "leap" will be the next one home. The guy, Sam, leaping around takes on the character's life and attempts to fix whatever problem needs fixing. Just google it for more information  . - Peace.

It has been one of the worst adaptations of a book that i have seen.
