i keep saying lol in real life

I say 'lol' a lot of times, I say it when somethings not funny enough to actually laugh about. A lot of people I know say it irl and some of them don't even have gaming experience.

and lmso is for me more like: el-mao...

luhmao.. that just totally ruins it for me.

I've heard some of my classmates say lol in school before, but most of the time we say "ulol"(if you're from philippines you would know).

A few months ago I was out shopping with a friend and we were in a game shop... And these kids (17 year old) were pointing at each game on the shelf and saying "LOL".. My mate and I couldn't stop laughing and we had to walk out before we pissed ourselves..

Same here. There are so many teenager here playing local online games. And when they talk they usually say "loooool" or "lolz". What's up with that. And the true meaning of lol is gone.

I mean lol stands for laughing out loud. But when they use it in normal convos it's like lol is part of the language.
