Not that I believe in any of this crap, but here are some more fun facts:

Nostradamus predicted a LOT of history with pretty specific times, including the French Revolution, the assassination of King Louis the XVI, and the rise of a man named "Hisler". That's some pretty scary sh*t if you ask me.

Not only the Mayan's and Nostradamus predicted this date, but ALSO the Ancient Chinese.

Didn't Nostradamus already predict world was gonna end September or July of 1999?

When ever I ask a person:

"why do you think the Mayans are right?"

they always answer:

"They were right when the Europeans came to their land".

Wrong answer. If your basing their outrageous prediction on when the white men came to their country. Then you are crazy.

Well, I dont believe that it will actually be an apocolypse but people in that tim peroid payed alot more attention to the elements start and stuff becuase they didnt have the distractions that we do today. i think Global warming which is happening we're not causing it though. its gonna be like a reset type thing... thats what i believe if anything is going to happen i think thats what will happen.

After I've seen some of the drastic effects more in detail about global warming I believe it's happening quite quickly. Look up the glacial melt rates over the last decade, it's nuts.

And I also believe after the big heat, there will be a big freeze. A new mini-ice-age.

Might **** up the planet, but I'm sure humans will get through it.

The mayan calendar was known for its accuracy to this date. So why would that accuracy change all of a sudden?
If anything its a meteor thats going to hit us if anything. Only thing that would be so sudden to kill us all. Even Nuclear war would take longer.

Maybe the Mayans figured ending on a divisible of 12 was a good enough, you know, because at this point they were charting dates (with admittedly varying accuracy) two thousand of years ahead of their time.

Its pretty funny that there are ppl believe s*** from a piece of stone and ppl that supposed to be smart but didnt invent electricity nor the car or a lightbolb. i mean like back then in 2000, when ppl yelled, omg Y2K all the planes are gonna fall down and all the computers will stop working, bladielbadieblah . its bull.

Try asking yourself why people believe such things, and why it's not funny. Not saying i'm a believer, but it makes sense in a way.

I was on the train earlier and picked up a 'Volkskrantmagazine' and there was an article about 2012 in it.

One of them was protesting against immigrants because all these immigrants would need houses and that would make Holland heavier and then Holland would go even more below sealevel.
According to her Holland would be under water and therefor she needed a high, safe spot so what she came up with was... a raft!

I kid you not!
The world is going to break open, volcano's will make the land red and dead, the north and south pole will switch positions.. QUICKLY! GET TO THE RAFT!

All of this was supported by the fact that the visionary 'Jomanda' said she dreamt about Holland being underwater.

There are MANY many many many events in history, and its natural for people to link an event in the history to some random prediction made in the past just because human brain likes to.

If I lived 1000 years ago and made a random prediction about the rise of "a idiotic moron who lead his country to fall" then it could possibly related to any leader, anybody. Also, we tend to remember those predictions that did come true (or we assumed it came true because we happened to relate one event in history to the prediction), rather than the ones which didn't come true, which should outnumber the ones that did.

So in the end, I think its all considence, or he studied human psychology too much.
