so here's my question for all of you who are good at physics

let's say there's a cube floating on water

would this cube have a high buoyancy force acted on it by the water if it had a high density? or would it have a high buoyancy force acted upon it if it were the exact opposite and had a low density?
i haven't completely understood this concept and google didn't really help much

As the cube becomes more dense, it will sink until the weight of the submerged portion is equal to the weight of the water displaced. So if the weight of the cube is greater than the weight of its total displacement, then the cube is more dense than water and will therefore sink. At least that is what I recall from grade school science.
