Euros are weak alone. I never really understood the whole overpowered mess. There are easy counters to most Euro builds. You also have to remember the final cap is 140/50 (most likely 140). So what we have now doesn't really represent true end-game PvP.

Ever tried to take out a fully farmed warrior or a warlock?

What build will I be using, am I farmed, and do they have subclasses?
It took awhile but I finally turned the topic into a strategy topic
And now the fun begins.

Yes strategy and build are the most important.... well at least according to what D2A say when s/he posted in the "Strongest player in your server" topic back then that i dug up:

Everyone knows I am the best/strongest SRO player evar!!! :P
And no, it's just not because of the gears, it's mostly because of the builds and skills.

Here are the factors that determine how strong someone is.
Skills: 40% (self-explanatory... most people have sosuns but dont know how to wield the power and play like a n00b, spamming 1-2-3)

Build: 35% (very important, u will suck if u have a weak build no matter how much suns u have to save your ass... and build is mainly determine by how you use your str/int points and your 300 mastery)

Gears: 24% (gears only give you the potential to shine, contrary to what most people think... many people in greece have full sosuns but they are die so easily in my hands and i've destroyed guilds full of level 80 sosun botters by myself)

Gender: 1% Females can multitask much better :P

+ infinity

d2a built up quite an infamous name for many things (good & bad). above all an amazing PVPer, done many things considered impossible. the only person to have kill D2A was XMAT (int spearman full sosun)... the screenshot was posted on SRF, and that was because D2A went AFK on the bridge in Takla and XMAT murdered him while he was AFK and went on SRF bloating he was the first one to kill D2A with his red murder status name. that thread was hilarious how far people would go to have an ss of killing D2A.

Total Bullshit
... D2A isnt anything special ... He had only great gear ... nothing else ... He is weak as we are ...
there isnt anything special about him ...

He will get smacked at 90 cap is he doesnt get his Suns ...

lol i think the end of the world will happen before "end-game PvP" at 140 cap

10 levels every 2 years(ish)? see you in 8 years when supposed end game PvP will be here

Granted the game will most liekly die well before then.

i think if your not gonna buy gold and bot it would take strategy. gotta be clever how your going to make gold. how your going to farm if you do at all. killing monsters though doesnt really take that much at all.

guys.. i dont even beleive ur saying this game doesnt take skill... OMG
SOME and only SOME builds take LITTLE ammouts of skill to play with (not none all) such as glaviers, but dont tell me someone like "Phunkism" the legendary rogue/warlock isnt skilled..
the guy had his weapons/attacks spread all over F1,2,3,4 and he still did everything at lightning speed, even though he needs to see if the opponent got the stats/stunn or when they are using the pills, and do all those complicated switches between daggsers/xbow/warlock-rod/shield, etc..

a simple comparison within the same build would be 2 rogue/clerics: (and i'm talking about this build because its mine so i know what i'm saying)

1-cast recovery division switch to daggers/xbow and spam moves like a retard.. any warrior with skins or a blader with castle PWNS his as*

2-cast RD, and combine Xbow's KD with Daggers 50% down-attack DMG from mortal wounds to destroy the warrior/blader whatever they do and whatever skins they have on,
BUT this needs heaps of skill to do cuz u'll have to time ur switchs right so u dont have daggers on while ur opponent is still standing, and u'll have to do this VERY VERY fast to have time to do all 3 mortal wounds b4 he gets back on his feet..

Skill, Skill, Skill..

Chinese also dont have to worry about their HP > alot.. coz they know they are getting the best HP reincarnation as they could get, on the contrary euros have pot delay making them more toughtfull and more "spontaneous" i could say requiring more skill..

Oh and for those who think euros are weak alone, try pvping a full str with cleric sub AND SKILLS, i bet you would loose ^^
Especially people who pvped me (chinese) have lost unless they got sox gear and shit ^^

I'm Rogue/Cleric btw

i dont get it, hes pure str right? why does he even have warlock he wouldnt need it imo, he could just go stealth>prick>combo>dead

idk anyone that can live thru a prick and combo, unless they block one of the hits. but still to me he has warlock just for fun, because the dots would do no damage at all if hes pure str, he only has lock sub for stun/sleep/fear? which he has stun from rogue skills anyways so... yeah. but he is pretty good i have to give him that, must be fast on his fingers.

Ever seen a weapon switcher? THAT requires skill.
switching from 1H/Shield to 2H and back quickly is a lot of practice, as well as cleric rod to heal.
As a blader you need to know what skills to use when
As any INT char you need to time your snow shield or survival skills to stay alive

Now ther are chars like Glaive that are sss sse sss sse gsm repeat.
or wizard(usually) life control, invis, one shot, repeat.
Euro chars other than turk wizards that LC and one shot require more skill than chinese just cuz you need to know how to stay alive.

SO yes, a certain amount of skill is required, but at the same time it is largely gear based.

i pvped a lvl 40 dual axe today... got pwned cause of his/her fast dps :banghead:. tho i beat her too by running and far as i could and launching strongbow --> berserker arrow ---> run --> repeat :P.
but imo warrior are the hardest build to pvp, well atleast at 3x/4x >.>

Every game needs some skills to play. I think SRO needs some skill too when you have have a job, especially merchants.

What is so special about Phunkism except his gear ...
He does exactly what every other player with sub Warlock does ...
He only complicated his skillbar , and he switches weapons fast / presses skills fast , that
you would be impressed ... He isnt anything ... He killed 2h/Cleric few times ,
but noone of the times Warrior had nor bless, nor skin ...

And yeah ... Warlock Sleep / Stun is way way too overpowered ...
I wanna see him how would he PvP against Prissila on Venus or Swifter
Note: You cant sleep tru Holy Spell
Yeah ... Silkroad does take some skill to play , but compared to other games its nothing.

The warrior is decent, but some of his opponents are idiots. Look at the first bower. He knocks the warrior back while he does the Berserker with the 1h sword (shit damage) but starts casting an anti-devil during the warriors daredevil. Fail.

And ice-light glaivers? Yeah, okay.

They're Venus Botters. All of them, what did you expect? They really can't PvP well.

Code: Select all

the vid is ok, and i agree that she is good at what she does. but she should have at least eddited out the parts where shes fighting comeplete nubs, half the ppl she fights just stand there for 15seconds taking a total beat down before they even attack, or like that part where shes thiefing in sarmak, she kills ppl before they even notice they are there and have a chance to fight back. but yes when she fights ppl that know what they are doing... she still wins, mad propps to her.

thats all u see phunkism doing??

1-it is practically impossible to do all those switches and moves in this amount of time.. if thats not skill, then what is? u will not imagine how hard it is to play a rogue/warlock unless u try to do so urself. lots of people just go for cleric cuz its far easier to play.
2-the guy DESTROYED the sun blader with an unfarmed character with +4/5 gear.. while probably no ordinary player could dream of even being any match to a full sun (bladers are especially strong against dagger rogues, trust me!)
3-the guy has super fast reactions.. try to do the sun>debuff>DD>prick combo while looking at the opponent to see if he's used a "last second pill" or not, and do the switch to warlock rod/shield at the very same second so u turn DD off and stay alive.
4-defeating a SKILLED warrior in heavy armor and a cleric subclass is IMPOSSIBLE to do with.. phunky's doing it on an "unskilled" warrior supports my point
5-why do u want to see him pvp ur warrior/cleric? warrior/cleric is practically the "anti" rogue/warlock, so it doesnt even mean anything...
6-pressilia's video just further proves my point of SRO requiring skill, and does not support ur point.

When I played WoW for the first time I played it like I played SRO. Later on I found out that you actually need skills and knowledge of the game to be something. SRO has some skills based classes since the euro update. If you want to play SRO with a china character and you want to use some skills I think you need to lvl ur force tree.

1. Try mastering K-Style in Gunz , and you'll see what is Skill... I cant even do two successfully butterfliess in a row ... That switching isnt anything special ... I see him switching two times from f1 bar to weapon bar without REASON! Just to impress you.

I have done much much harder and skilled needed stuff than this barsswitching and spamming STUN AND SLEEP to get yourself some time! Seriously , try infusing in Guild Wars in top ranking matches ... You'll see how will they flame you when you fail ... I was always shaking when I was doing it ...

SRO is nothing.

2. He destroyed him because his build ,not because his skills ... The blader was unable to move/KD because of overpowereed stun and sleep. Rogue/Warlock - Overkill

3. I doubt he was looking if his opponet used "last second pill" ... Switching from Daggers to shield ... its just pressing skillbar (f1-f4) and pressing number where shield is ... The game happens too slow (notice how much time does it needs for blader to use KD (about 3 seconds))... That gives you way too much time to switch to shield.

4.Everything is possible ... I just said that that Warrior is noob.

5.
I said that because he won it against someone who is unskilled ... I perfer Warrior/Cleric since it was my first build.

6. And my point is?

Even if ur the most skilled player, u cant beat da sun buyers or da botters with an army of buffers.
Try ur luck with all ur buffs and some notion to use ur attacks.
