Thats because its easier to pick up and play. Having someone steal my kills isn't fun though. I know this happens often in many games but it seems to be more frequent here. Probably because of the lock on system.

Wrong. You obviously know nothing about Gunz. You spam butons in gunz and you will get destroyed against pro players. Almost no high level players play on the novice or free channels because you lose points if a low level manages to kill you. How can you miss in Exteel? Oh thats right, its pratically impossible. You Lock-On. Anyone with a great reaction time can do better in Exteel than gunz soley based on reaction time. I find it quite funny how every gun requires you to lock on in order to hit except the rocket launcher. lol The guy can be right in front of me but I won't be able to hit him with my rifles or shotguns because he is too close. lol?

The sniping factor with Cannons has great potential in Exteel but its totally ruined by the fact that the game alerts the opponent when you lock on to them. I can't pick off the people who aren't paying attention because "locked" will show up on their screen as soon as I target them. This requires you to need to have more skill with cannnons than necessary compared to other weapons. Fail.

You have no way to recover HP in deathmatch from what I understand. Once your HP gets low you're basically screwed unless you're playing team deathmatch and someone on your team happens to have the medic weapon(extremely unlikely unless you're playing with people you know). If you "hit" someone enough times in deathmatch you can basically chase after them if they try to run because there is nothing they can do to recover their hp. This oftens leads to people ganging the person that looked liked they were getting hit the most so they can get the kill(I know because it has happened to me alot.) At least on Gunz I didn't feel helpless when my health is low. I can go find health or actually block attacks successfully without fear of dying. (I know there are places where you can regen HP in Last Stand and CTF.)

Teamwork? Doesn't exist unless you in a clan or have good friends who are going to work together. No one cares about the flag or obtaining Aerogates in CTF because you get more points just by getting kills. I returned the flag once and took and defended the Aerogate many times, but this one guy still got first place just because he killed more people than me. What a waste.

If you look at my battle record, it'll look like I'm a bad player. I think I'm at least above average. My battle record should reflect how good I am not how my teammates fail, how I get ksed, and how I get raped by SMG users who gang me. lol

I find Exteel more fun to play than Gunz because it is easier and because sadly Gunz doesn't have CTF. I don't have to use much of any "skill" to win in Exteel. Where as in Gunz, I have to think fast literally every second to prevent dying against pro players. In Exteel, all I have to do is keep the target on you, which isn't hard, and pray that someone doesn't take the last hit from me. If you try to get in close for SMGs or Sword/Spear, I'll just boost backwards and destroy you with my rifles. I'll get bored and go back to Gunz later because this doesn't require much skill compared to Gunz.

I'm just saying that saying this game requires more skill or comparable skill to Gunz is a joke.

Oh yea, anyone knows what the movement upgrade thing does? I upgraded it like 6 times but I don't see a difference.


lol you dont seem to know much about exteel lock on is just to shoot and hit but accuracy is a different thing, it depends on the weapon you are using and also on your opponents action, for example if some1 goes flying off your accuracy will get lower by A LOT so even if you are lock on you are going to hit 1/4 of those shots

there is a lot of strategy involve in the game you think cannons are op i can take you out without getting a single shot, having said that i myself have fought people that have taken me out without me landing a single hit and i think i am a bit above average with all humility

some examples of strategy
for fighting cannons never 1/1 them in a hallway couse that is an exchange, use cover and take them down slowly
fighting smgs user; jumping is a good way since it will mess up their accuracy and knowing when to strafe is another big plus to loosing lock on, another nice trick is jumping towards them after firing a couple of shots so they start attacking but since you are so close they will loose lock on and end up overheating their weapon, then you will have the upper hand even if they have a second set of weapons they will loose their EN and become a static target in wish case you should be able to take them out pretty easily, big note to pull this things off you need A LOT of skills and is not always possible

i could go on about every weapon but that is not the point learn about the game before you talk

I already knew about the accuracy. Strategy? I thought that was common sense. Also, how about you read my post before you talk. I said nothing about cannons being overpowered but I basically said they were underpowered.

I've put 13+ hours into the game. I'm familiar with the core gameplay. The only thing left to do now is buy better things and upgrade.

In exteel it dont really matter who get the kill or not, cus in the end as long as ur team win u earn alot of money.

But in gunz when someone steal kill you, they get all the exp and money. = /

So you admit that it requires no skill here but luck. Jumping around in random directions is the perfect technique in Exteel. Why? Because the opponent has to lock on before they can shoot. Meaning, as soon as the target turns red, the opponent is already somewhere else. In other shooters, you can anticipate where the player will be. You can't anticipate when someone is jumping around in your face because if its not locked on when you fire, you will miss. You basically spam when they are jumping around and hope you hit them.


I can't debate anything with you, towards this game, if you think like this..

Because, seriously, other players, as Love's alredy did, they contradict you, because, you sure aren't beeing rational, and fair in discussing both game's points at all.. because those things don't happen in Exteel, and some others you mentioned can happen, and there is no reason for them not to happen. press space one time+arrow key Exteel

press space many times and many arrow keys Gunz


and i even think it takes just, sometimes a lil bit more in Exteel and sometimes a lil bit more skill in Gunz..cause even if the movement system is diff, it'll always be similar in some ways, so, both games are skilled in their both ways if you really see it fairly.


This coulda been so much easier if you woulda been normal, but noo.. oh well, whatever honestly, it's normal you answer this

Maybe you're the one not thinking. The fact that I can use what you're saying against proves that I am thinking. I've seen those things and done it in game. I'm speaking with experience.

It doesn't matter if you're pro or not. You can't anticipate when the opponent is in your face jumping around. Therefore you have to fire blindly hoping you hit them. Anticipation is the key part of shooters. If you can't anticipate then you have to rely on fast reflexes to win. Fast reflexes don't require any thought, but anticipation does. Maybe you are the one that requires more experience to understand what I am saying.

Also, you can even look at their forums. Many people will agree that SMGs are seriously overpowered. Quotes from their forums:

"Now, every single game I enter, at least HALF of the players have two SMGs, and maybe four. It really does come down to how many SMGs are targeting you. I think we can admit it's a problem when everyone seems to be using them.

Stop trying to simplify Gunz. Many already agreed that Gunz requires more skill. If you can easily do these things in Gunz then you have my respect. However, it is not jumping around and pressing keys randomly.

I'm level 37 in Gunz and I still can't do some of those things effectively.

Yes, they both games require skills but I will say this again.

You can not see it fairly because the amount of skill required in each game is not fair. I think your view is biased because you're amount of fun you're having making it seem as though it requires more skill. Anyone who played Gunz and made it to the Expert Channels will agree that the skill required in Exteel is no where close to the skill required in Gunz. Maybe Exteel may require comparable skill one day. However, because things are so imbalanced, its not even close to Gunz.

But you do simplify it too much, and exagerate stuff, but thats ok.

But see, if you see both, it doesnt matter, because Exteel's a lot more fun than Gunz..

I never said Exteel was easy. I just said it was easier than Gunz.

I'm not exaggerating about that. I'm on your friendlist. Play against me if you believe I am exaggerating.

Technically you don't dodge attacks in Exteel. Once the opponent locks on and fires, they are guaranteed to hit you if their marksmanship is decent. You just move around and hope that they aren't aiming where you are.

In total, thats 8+ pages about people complaining or making suggestions about SMGs. The few quotes I provided are far from an exaggeration. There is a serious problem with SMGs.

Next time how about you do some research yourself before you say I am "exaggerating" things.

Taking things serious? Nah. I just don't expect people to believe my words unless I provide evidence or examples to support my argument. It makes the arguement more believable or factual. It doesn't matter if the person you're debating with says you're "exaggerating" or things like that because you provided evidence and/or examples to back you up.

Thats the point. I have adequate experience in both games. Thats why what you say doesn't whole much value because based on what you said, I can tell you haven't made it to the Expert Channels. I've played against pro players in Exteel(Majors, Captains, etc. Although rank doesn't mean you're good..) and read many guides on different types of playstyles and what to buy in Exteel. Thats why I talk the way I do about the game. Also, I don't just download a game and start playing. I read many guides and tips so I can get a good idea on how to start out and how to play effectively like the "pros" or good enough so I can make my own style against the "pros."

Gunz was released mid 2006 and Exteel was released late 2007.

yes i agree that gunz is harder i have a lvl 52 and it is require massive ammounts of skill though aim in most games are the most important if you cannot aim and you can do all these quick movements it will not help you. in both games aim is i assume i just finished downloading my ign will be Vakusk, oh and i really suck at exteel :P

i like the locking system but sometimes i wish they remove the warning that you are locked defeating the purpose of sniping

Same. I'm starting to play less often because the lag is so bad. Well I can still play Last Stand effectively because npcs don't move fast.

Btw, anyone know why my confirm button doesn't highlight when i want to buy something? I can't buy anything now lol. And yes, I have enough credits for some things.

When you want to buy something the confirmation window shows up, in the upper right corner you have to select the durabillity first. If you have done that the confirmation button should light up green and you will be able to buy the selected item. :roll:
