I just read this in official web site:

Quote:
In a party, the difference in level can be no more than 5 levels and there is a maximum of 8 members.

http://www.silkroadonline.net/guide/ht_party.asp

No, it means in a party, there may only be level difference of maximum of 10 between two members.

If there are 20, 25, 30, 20, 25, 30 lvl members in one party then the average level would be 25, so no other char can join party which is either lower then 20, or higher then 30, 25 being the average lvl of the party, +5 or -5

If ur 30 and u formed a party, then a lvl 24 cant join it, but a 25 can, or a lvl 36 cant join it but a 35 lvl guy can :)

I really didn't understand that - but we use a level 20 in our 85-87 mob party to balance out the average and it works.

it doesn't look like a mistranslation to me, I think its either new rules or its old rules that Joymax forgot to implement

simple, u cant be 19 if anerage lvl of pt is 25. Average lvl within a 10 lvl limit.
If a 25 lvl char has formed pt, a lvl 19 or lvl 31 cant join it hehe

Unless of course you're saying this as if it hasn't been implemented.

well let's take an exemple.

A player level 80 starts a party, he takes in one player level 85 and 6 other players 75. He leaves the party or is disconnected or something like that, the party leadership goes to the level 85 and all the other players are partyless. Since they are on higher level monsters, everyone ends up killed and looses 2%. Around level 80 you have to kill 3 mobs for 0.01 % gain, means 900 mobs to kill to have the same level back.

I hope it's a mistake and they will not change the game in that way.

If the party isn't banned you leave open the option of powerlevelling.

I return on my exemple, a level 85 is in, the party leader DC's, a level 75 takes over. He takes in levels 70, DC's, the level 70 takes in levels 65 etc....

You can theoretically end up with a level 90 in a party with level 1 players and keep that party running for days. It's enough that the party leader stays connected 24/7 for that.

A guild is able to make a party with 8 players of whatever level like that, you just keep the party up and keep the desired players in the party :P

lol u dont understand, the average levelof a party with 75 +75 +75 +75 +75 +80 + 85 =? <80
u caant get a 90 lvl in there
In Any ways u cant have a low lvl players, omg u dont understand lol
Its not dependent on the leader alone!!!! Only for the first time it is dependent on the leader, after the next guy joins.. it becomes average of both!!

70 leader. 75 joins.. 70+75/2 = 72.5 .. understand? after 3rd guy joins it becomes 70 + 75 + 73 divided by 3 lol

if u dont understand now , im not posting anymore :p

lol it's even worser than I thought, you will have players in a party with 2 levels difference^^ I hope they will not start that stuff.

This is old though. It was going to be added with Europe, it was even in the Teaser and people on the official forums were like; "yeah, Joymax is going to make people party. Now Share parties have more grinding use." Then Joymax fcked up, I think it worked the first few days of Europe.
