Well I got bored today and I decided to make a tutorial on how to make my most recent sig which I think is my best one so far.

Well here is the tutorial.



Also, I didn't think I should post this in the Guides and Tutorial section because I have never seen any art tutorials in there, and this section has it's own tutorial sticky.

I'm almost positive those were the C4D's i used but they might not be. Judging by the looks of them you should be able to get the same results. But remember where's the fun copying exactly what I did.

don't get addicted to gradient maps like i did ^.^

I find gradient maps extremly usefull, I use them all the time. So get hooked!

how do i make a c4d?

I don't realy now how to explain a gradient map other than it is like a gradient but instead of covering up your whole picture it just masks it and you can still see the things under it.

I don't realy know how to make a C4D but I know Google and planet renders do so they help me a lot.

Well a gradient map would be something that colours the bright parts in one colour and the darker parts in another. You could go even further than that and assign a 3rd colour!!

gradients are basically 2 colors, It starts out as color 1 but slowly turns into color 2, so if black and white were the two colors, it would go white, to gray to eventually black.

What the map does is assigns one part of the gradient to the light colors and the other part to the dark colors. So white colors of the sig would now be assigned the light side of the gradient.

If you don't understand anything i said, go to layer>new adjustment layer> gradient map, after you do that what i said may make a little more sense

lol all i said is i think. I dont remember to be honest i go to so many gfx sites so i probably wont find. It might be possible that someone used the same render im not sure. When people make stuff that takes a ling while that to be honest not that many people can do it isn't the greatest feeling to be called a ripper.
