do i need to set up a webserver if i want to use php and mysql? im not actually going to make a website that people can see on the web, just using it for learning and stuff. so do i need a web server, or can i just set up php and mysql?

Look into a *AMP package like VertrigoServ or XAMPP.

go search php tutorial video, that helped me but yeah if u installed things like wamp or xampp it should be already set up for u

il try that when i come to set up a php apche server so i can learn my php and such without the use of the internet

i got confused and gave up last time as i had a website i could use to play with

tyvm cruor and skwrls finally got it set up and got the beautiful "hello world" i been trying to get for 2 days lol.
