Now that the government is giving money for Medals the number of medals will start to go up from now on. Canada will get a medal in Girls soccer.

The Netherlands did pretty well last time with:
Badminton, female hockey, swimming, (dunno in english:) Turnen(male, the Jouri van Gelder or something), Judo(the big guy from the Knorr commercials), and horseriding(Anky, Geert Sloothaak, Schrueder)..
because a lot of German horseriders are for holland, though Germany is also very good in horseriding..

USA; I'm guessing Swimming/Basketball/Track and Field/maybe in Gmynastics/Volleyball and some others that I can't think of atm.

Australia - Swimming, Water Polo, Volleyball, Cycling, Diving, Softball, and possibly Rowing, not to mention womens Basketball.
Australia generally comes about 4th - 5th. Which isn't bad for a nation of 20 million, going up against countries with 20 times our population.

South Korea is very good at technical sports like archery, taekwondo, judo, boxing, etc. Swimming is an exception because we got a really good player this year.
South Korea usually ends up in the top 10, which is really great because we are such a small country.
And its given that china is getting the most medals, the host country almost always does really good because they play in their home. So I wouldn't be surprised if China does very well.

After checking the official news, it seems they already did single sculls, and the Dutch placed 2nd in their heat... not bad.

USA will own almost all around. but our gymnastics sucks now that we lost the Hamm twins. but everywhere else, we'll more than likely clean house like usual. China's good, but we're friggin america; and hell yes im arrogant . though if anyone here (thats american) has a decent memory, do you remember last summer games where phelps was the hero that everyone was saying could get 8 golds? seems like deja vu this olympics. wierd.
