I've already started on a new character and I have plans to make it a nuker. But I'm not sure on how to go about using which imbues/weapons when leveling. When I get the character to around 78, I'm going to use it for plvling people for some cash then make my way to 90. I'm deciding on whether to go s/s or spear. Any opinions on which are better for nuking for plvling? I've seen people use both and my friends have told me that either way is good. Also, when plvling people, I was planning on capping my masteries at 70. Then when I'm ready to make my way towards 90, I would 6-gap (well 6 or 9.) One last thing. Since I'm not a PvP type of person, would spear be better just because PvE is surviving mobs and dishing out damage to kill said mobs. Or would s/s be better for the survivability?

Pure INT spear is one of the best PvE builds there is, because of it's amazing damage. With good gear, 1-shotting things 3-4 levels above your own level is fun.

Also, if you don't really care about PvP, you might just go fire/light/ice/30 pacheon and alternate between Spear and S&S in different situations. Otherwise, the typical pure INT build is 90 light/90 cold/90 weapon/30 fire.

i do not recommand you spear, you'll die alot, atleast when you dont have really good gear.

im lvl 52 nuker,, light cold little bich, little force

d6 full sos armor gear

i tryed first to take spear and grind on penons,, (lvl 54) but they hit me for 1/3 ~ 1/2 of hp,,, with s/s on lvl 48 i was already killing penons,, well they did hit me hard but i got enough time to run away when a pt mob or 2~3 penons where coming,, with pear i easely died,,

now i bought lvl 52 s/s,, not tested it yet,, but im probably able to grind easely on pt penons now,, (not afraid to waste some pots),, maybe even sonars,, but that is something i would have to really test xD,,

s/s survives longer because when my coldshield runs out i just put castle shield on (like second coldshield) with both on, coldshield and castle shield i easely take loads of mobs for short time,, (castle shield runs out quiet fast)

i think the only good build for hybrid spears would be a 5:1 or one like in barotix guide

S/S for sure we cant 1 hit mobs till like lvl 40-50 but after that it is alot better and the best PvP int build from my opinion.

do s/s, it is a lot easier to survive, and even though s/s deals less damage than spear, it still is a lot. I'd rather be able to take a few hits instead of dieing everytime 2 mobs come at you

Like I said, I'm not a PvP type of person. I'd rather kill mobs and help friends over trying to prove that I can play a video game.

Ok, so I've decided my build and I'm going pure int s/s with 80 bicheon/60 ice/80 fire/light. Just one more question. In bicheon, should I save myself the SP and skip the shield tech. tree? And the same question with the fire shield tree.

IMO good build for a spear would be hybrid int. You will have some extra phy defence and HP, + you have the Cheolsam Force from Heuksal which gives you some extra HP, and combine that with Cold's Frost Guard Series and cold passive (Cold Armor), you could have a lot's of phy defence and you'll do some massive damage.
