"Where the Master Chief doesn't have a face... That's hard to carry as a main character for an entire film. But you can certainly surround him with people who don't have helmets on and you can see their faces."
I was a little surprised, but after letting it settle I actually think that's the right move. http://www.halothemovie.org/ There you go mister know it all.

It's about me following your link, and finding that chunk of text in the first few lines i read. The only thing you've proven with the quote above, is that Bungie are contradicting basterds.

Its a great background. Go read fall of reach (i doubt the film will go into as much detail as the book). This "brutal" childhood dosnt mean it was a bad one. The training they did was brutal and of course they didnt enjoy it at first but they grew to like it. All they know is being a spartan. Technically they didnt have a childhood. Just went through the movie again.
And i think it's a fail now. Every scene with the Chief or an alien building in it, are just cutscenes from Halo 3.. Bore!
