It might not match some people's personal preferences, but no one can't say it's not good.

-It's one of the biggest mmos

-It has the most active players

-It's the most popular in terms of being accepted in the mainstream

-Every MMO review compares the game to wow

-Every new game is referred to as "the new wow"

..and the list goes on and on. The biggest thing for me, is how everyone uses "epic" now. Even those ditsy girls that don't even know how to check their email. Even the people that say "haha, you play WoW, you Farking nerd - that's epic".

It's great. I feel it's completely worth the fees for it, because honestly, with so much to do in it you'll probably enjoy playing it more then other games. (so you can think of the fee as if you're buying other games)

And dom, epic post. *runs*

Yes, really fun. Easy to level, just do all the quests.

WoW's graphics may not be for everyone, but the games itself is absolutely brilliant, and anyone whom has played it, will not deny that.

Development of WOW took around 10 years, Blizzard totally hand crafted it to perfection (well almost). Its a really epic game, but ya the monthly fee is not so good for us students with shallow pockets, however, it actually cost less if you buy silk in sro.

regarding private servers, its full of bugs, and since you're not really paying for it, the quality of services still have its limits. I'm not saying private servers are bad, but again it has its limits.

WoW is fun, and addicting, consider yourself warned.

I second this, and I would like to add;

Those that do say it sucks, simply haven't payed a month to play.

Gameplay >>>>>>>>>> graphics

If you were any sort of gamer, you should know this.

I mean, look at Crysis; you can polish a turd all you want, but at the end of the day, it's still a turd. (no, I didn't like Crysis, at all)

If you're the kinda person who's like "lol this game is cool because it has explosions that look pwetty" then maybe it's "badass" to you.

Game played like ass, and the story of my morning routine would be more well thought out then the plot of the game.

I remember playing starcraft and hearing people talk about the very few and very lucky alpha/beta testers.

wow is the benchmark in mmo's. what else is there to say, pvp is the best imo (tho i know alot of ppl will say GW is better pvp)

pve is the best.

the only thing anyone ever says bad about wow is the graphics are too cartoony. and i mean, if you play till lvl 20+ you will get over that really quick. gameplay>graphics

Why talk about something you haven't played, nor know anything about.
