The only Flight-Sim I ever played was some F16 demo from Nova Logic, but I heard that the Microsoft simulators are very good.
Wasn't there a game coming out where you had to fly those planes? The F16 ones? I swear I read it somewhere but I can't recall the title, the game isn't out yet though.

If you want some random flying fun I don't recommend real simulation games, they are pretty hardcore, you don't just fly with WSAD but have to adjust a zillion buttons and spend 3 weeks in the 300 page manual
At least that's what I found out when I 'tried' a few flight sims.
Look around gamespot for some flying (combat?) games.

All I know is X-plane 9 and Microsofts flight simulator X, I like the first one better tho, it has more planes, easier to import them etc. Microsofts thing has 60 gigs of dvd's in total so.. xD

a flight simulator game is a whole nother game when you have a joystick in hand. And its hellofalot easier using the joystick, you will get slaughtered using keyboard. A game that you thought it sucked because you couldnt control the planes will look so much more attractive when you have a joystick. And the point of a flight simulator is to simulate flying a real plane, so getting a joystick is something you should definitely consider.
