Lol, can the PvP gear stand up to PvE?

Well considering it's practically all going to be reset when expansion comes, currently the BG PvP gear (S2) is good enough to farm Kara and heroics for badges to get badge gear to PvE. (effectively skipping Mags/Gruuls/SSC/TK) the only excpetions are healers (not enough spirit on the gear) and tanks. (defense rating? WTF is that?)

Though this will change and everyone will have to work for their stuff again. I'm honestly looking forward to doing the whole gear up thing in WotLK.

And I shall now grace you all with a screenshot. <3 (I realise the last I posted was when I was Lv10 >_>)

Night Elf Hunter. Probably the most over-represented race/class combo in existence. >_<

Undead rogue would be the most common, due to people rolling one for Will of the Forsaken.

WARHAMMER ONLINE!!!!

OMG a game with a reason to play!

WoW has been fun but there is absolutely no point. Kill boss over and over for, wait for it...
pixel gears. Do Battlegrounds endlessly for.... pixel gears. Do Arena forever for... pixel gears. Farm badges for... pixel gears.

Its just gear, that is a pathetic motivation to play in the long run. Cause gear is constantly being replaced. One reason Silkroad is still ranked as my most fun experience, before 80 Cap, beta to 70 cap. Was that you got your level, leveled your skills, gear was easy and getting them ready for pvp was short. Rest of the time was spent on killing your opponents, guild wars, and job wars. I did not play Silkroad for the gear. I played cause it was just so much fun killing other players and the social aspect. The guild rivalry, and union rivalries was why I played. I was addicted to the conflict in game, created by us the players.

WoW I been playing, real answer, until something better came out. Only reason to log in WoW is to get gear or prepare for getting gear, farming consumables and other bullshit to kill a boss I had already spent 3 months killing for some random gear.

Warhammer looks like that better game. A game that will say, log on, you need to trash talk this jerk and kill him. Defend some keep and participate in an ongoing conflict that is created by us the players. Not because Blizzard said you need to farm this boss for 3 months and pay us 15 dollars for pixel gear.

Maybe I'm just tired of the boredom that WoW has become, but I look forward to Warhammer. So far the reviews and the video discussions have looked awesome. I hope you all join in also. I think it will be really fun again to play for other reasons other than gear.

I didn't give WAR a good try in beta, I was a bit too scared of it after the fail that was Age of Conan.

I'm having loads of fun (broke 1950 rating tonight, yay me!) so I don't need warhammer anyways. I might give it a shot if it doesn't turn out to be a fail.

edit: Necrobat reroll man! :P
Night elf :( Probably worse than Troll, though troll is getting a buff. Nelf is also the alliance version of blood elf...
GAY! :P

Psht, ain't gonna reroll. Playing Ally cause my RL friend plays Ally on my server. Hunter is my favourite class, draenei are ugly, I don't like dwarves, guess what that leaves me with? :P

Though come patch I'll be able to go "I'm stealthin' in combat and there's nothin' you can do about it"

Fire still is worthless, and has major mana issues (fixes on the way but still) Living bomb: lawl, nerds.

We could have been competitive DPS-wise, if they hadn't changed AB, which they did, with the current state, after 3 stacks, the next one will consume 900% more mana? i mean hellows?

Frost currently is the best for PVP and PVE, but i'm confident in them changing deep freeze and fingesr of frost to, which will kill that tree for PVE.

And there we have it, back to conjuring foods.

Well AB almost HAS to be bugged, it should be 30% increase per stack from what I've heared..

And I don't see bliz changing deep frost too soon, I've tried it out alot and so far it seems a reasonable build for both pvp and pve, almost the same as pre 3.0 really.

I only see bliz changing (most likely) brain freeze or maybe fingers of frost.

and fire mana inefficiency hmm cant judge that too much, I tried fire but only for a few hours to do a few short dps and AoE tests. But at lvl 80 we can have a 1x 5x build, so for example you could take 16/53/0 build wich includes 5/5 arcane concentration for 10% clearcasting, 3/3 student of the mind for 10% extra spirit and 3/3 arcane meditation (30% mana regeneration while casting)

or a hybrid build like this including 12/15% intellect even (just quickly put something together);

Spoiler!

And ofcourse at lvl 80 we'll have a ton more intellect and it will all scale better.

Don't give up mage just yet.. :|

Mages have got a buff, one they needed very much and I think that they'll be much improved over what they are currently.

But while we're talking about such things, I'm worried about the future of the hunter class being anything other then Survival instead of skills and talents. (though fix Viper please)

As most should know, BM hunters did the most DPS of any hunter spec in PvE due solely to Serpent's Swiftness. However I'm concerned by the fact that the T7 gear has so much freaking haste rating on it, I'm worried the class will be over-capping the haste rating.

Right now, hunters can only fire as fast as the GCD. That's cool, I can't think of a time where we would actually hit it. But with haste rating added to our gear, I could see it hard NOT to hit it. (though I don't know what Wrath's haste rating formula is admitedly)

So BM would have to spec without Serpent's Swiftness if that was the case, which would make me wonder where those 5 points would even end up going. MM is giong to be so mana inefficient with the current state of Viper. Basically leaving Survival looking like the primary raid spec thanks to Expose Weakness (gogo Agility stack (even though its nerfed to a self buff only), Thrill of the hunt and Hunting Party.

^ Im pretty sure that haste also reduces GCD for some classes so it might do the same for this Xpac. honestly all the specs for a hunter look superb! i cannot wait to get spec'd in MM and pwn facs. chimera shot pwns too, wreckes cloth and keeps your mana pool full. all around good

also.... T6 Chest and shoulders yesterday! MH warglaive dropped toO! my guild has tthir first 2/2 set.. took 9 months of illi.. wasnt there for them, thx goodness lol

If it reduces the GCD, I'm definitely staying BM then for the big red kitty o' doom. (though that could mean it would be more efficient to just autoshot everything, because fire rate would be faster then the cast time of Steady Shot) Guess we'll see how it all pans out when we get the first hunters geard up in Wrath gear. (have heard all gear is currently bursting at the seams with haste rating)

Necro. Just realized what and idiot i was with that last post! lmao. anyways, SS is now a 2sec cast and doesnt clip autoshot. so its doesnt matter when you cast it you can spam it all you want. so, it wont matter how much haste you have because you wont clip any shots. so with that being said i think MM will be a good choice since well be able to spam arcane shot/multi shot and SS inbetween CD's. the imp arcane shot is now +15% dmg so its going to be better imo

No shot clipping will be nice. I kinda have to predict my SS cast now thanks to lag, because I'm fairly certain macro spamming would glitch somehow.

Hmm, MM will indeed be good. I think to begin with, with all this +haste, all three specs are gonna be viable, but I don't think BM is gonna scale too well. Guess we'll see what happens when it all goes live and we can test things out.

Actually, thinking now, do wasp debuffs stack with sunder? (pretty sure it was them who had the debuff, too lazy to check now) If they do, I could see MM hunters coming with wasps to boost the whole raid's DPS. (and that would seriously be something I'd do. Going 5/5 Endurance Training for sure of course)

Not to mention the way armor pen is going to work, rather than ignoring a set account it ignores a percentage based on your rating. also TSA (true shot) will now be 10% AP rather than the 125... much much better

I forgot about those changes. =o
Dangit, gonna need to do testing between BM and MM. BM should have more constant damage thanks to less mana burn, MM will be OP burst damage by the sounds of it. (unless they fix Viper, in which case it could very well be godly)

Mages HAD buffs, that's the point. Blizz is back to debuffing our buffs again.

Felguard is MUCHHHH better than the VW. It holds aggro better, does much better DPS, and has a stun. It's almost like having your own personal warrior.

Question:

With the RaF system, if I were to send an invite to a friend, he opens it, makes an account , and starts playing the trial. Does he need a new key, from the store, after the 10 days to make his account permanently?

Because I've seen so many people who've used the RaF system, and it makes me wonder whether they all buy new copy's to keep the accounts or not...
